I did the 2019 Bikini Race when it was 9K, a fun course with a bit of beach running.  I loved running through one of the Soi13s with massage girls cheering us on.  The 2020 race was postponed and this new version is actually to be 5km, not 5M.  The last race had 2,000 people but that included a 3K race at the same time.

So basically City hall is using women's bodies to get local tourists to come to Pattaya.
