Samui after the Apocalypse

Was down in Samui for almost two weeks.  

Chaweng:  Wow I've never seen anyplace so dead. Patong in Phuket is pretty dead but at least there are people on the beach. The main road on Chaweng hardly has any places open to eat.  Unfortunately my friends picked that spot to stay a few days, and at the south end at that.  As empty as Chaweng is, all of a sudden you turn down Soi Mango and life is back.   Soi Mango area is still going and has plenty of people at night.  We typically went to the Chica Loca reggae bar there that had live music at night for a few 100B Samsong Cokes, then over to Hush.  Hush probably usually is way to heaving, but now its got that "just right" amount of crowded.  Black is the other popular club, did not try. The actual Green Mango bar is open but nearly empty. I didn't get to Soi Reggae, but chatted with a bargirl online working there so assume its open.

Met up with her twice.  When I first contacted, she didn't have that full body shot, just the face shot and the "school picture".  She drove to my hotel and I was waiting outside. The two main girly bar areas are open.  There's the Girly Bar plaza with the cookie cutter "gazebo" style bars, of the 15, maybe 4-8 were open depending on the night, not many people visiting that one.  Saw a super hottie who said her hotel in Phuket wasn't paying her so she was giving this a go.  Meant to get back with her, but as you'll see I got distracted. 

The other area is called Dogshit Lane. Most of the bars on this street were open with girls mostly of less than desirable nature, ie, older.  We ended up at one bar that had freelance girls working for drinks.  Seemed a better option for them, I wonder how many of the other bars are doing the same.  These two girls took us to an after hours bar, and eventually was 3am and these girls had their own money and wanted to party so called it a night.

Next day invited the two over to the pool.  Showed up 2 hrs late of course.  Swam around a bit and right as I was going to offer some cash to make things more interesting, they had to bounce to get to work.  Screw them!  Well, it was an enjoyable hour of swimming with two chicks in bikinis.  

Was staying up to watch Champion's League final so went out around midnight.  Spotted Charlie's bar which is between the two other spots mentioned.  Stopped in for a quick drink and loved the ladies there.  Two had amazing English, another one hot, another one super hot and petite.  Wow, I lucked out! Had my drink and as I left for the game, tried to get their Line.  First one: "I have bf".  Second: "I'm a model here's my IG". Third, so shy she can barely talk, : "here's my Facebook".  Fourth wasn't my style.  But wtf, bar girls being picky.  Anyway it hits me, these aren't bar girls, they're just from outta town having fun.  Makes sense why they spoke English like BKK gals.

Stayed up till sunrise after the very boring CL final.  Eventually headed out at night to check out Charlie's Bar see what's going on there. 

Only the petite girl was there, and still shy.  After a LD, offer her 1000 to head home with me.  She says sure but one more drink.  Ah sure why not.  Was surprised to get hit with a barfine, guess the shy girl did work there or something.

Lots of mongering opportunities around Thailand now, don't be afraid to venture out!

I was in Samui November last year. There's plenty of action to be had there but it's just not on any sort of level near Patts.

I normally stay in Lamai which as you say is quieter.

I always go to Chaweng for a few nights out, Soi Green Mango and Henry Afrika's are cracking places to meet FL's. Hush nightclub and most other places along that Soi there are lots of nice girls.

Heading away from Lamai beach there are a few bars and massage shops on Had Lamai 1, not far from the beer bar complex. I met a cracking girl in one of these massage shops. What a BJ she gave. I asked her to go back to my room, 1500 LT (must have liked me haha). Got her Line and she was coming to the room fairly regularly after that. Also spent a couple of days with her during the day getting the full GFE.

I visit samui few years a ago and its break my heart to see this beautiful island quite like this. 

I hope it will be better soon and i will go there again
