Longtime/shortime price from 1970 to 2020

I'm not sure if it's the right place to create this topic but it's a general and historic question so...

Does anyone know the price of longtime and short-time in the 70s, 80s, 90s ?

If venerable  dude here can inform me about that, and give us some good old days memories, it would be cool.

I didn't start coming until the 2000s (Sept 2000).

I can't begin to remember what they were then.

Come to think of it, I do remember the beerbar barfines were never more than 300 baht.

However I know they're more now than then.

BTW, I don't live in the past and I could care less what they were back then, only focus on todays prices.

I think I always paid 1000 ST for Soi Six I think the going rate then was 800.   LT 1500

Agogo was 1500 ST and 2000 LT

if my memory serves me right?

BF in Agogo were about 500? not sure though.

First time for me  in Pattaya was 1987(fuck I’m getting old)... If I’m no wrong ,LT (which was more popular then ST) was about 800 to 1000...bf was around 200/300....I never took ST but I think it was about half price...the quality of service was most of the times amazing...

2000. Beer bars were 1000 bt LT, asking any more was a piss take.. BF 200 on average, lots of freebies on offer too if they liked you.

Go Go girls I paid 1500 LT, Only remember BF price at New Living Dolls was 700 bt but that may have been around 2004.

The girls were probably due a pay rise to be fair. Prices hardly changed for years.

Thank you . My first trip was in 2000 and i remember 500 bahts (purple ticket) in disco with freelance was a common price. In bar and gogo, it was much more.

I am curious about the 70s.

Early 90's rate was similar to today around 40 to the pound ....

I never went ST but LT in 1991 was 500 Baht , although a few girls asked for 1k .... even in late 90's when LT was normally 1k , some FLs could be taken home for a purple persuader ( 500 Baht ) when the bars / clubs were closing

First time in Thailand was 1983.

Prices in soi cowboy and pattaya for ST were 300bt , LT 500bt out of the bars,100bt barfine.

Was in my early 20,s so Managed to pick up street walkers passing by near closing time for free or a couple of beers which was about 30bt for a small singha or kloster beer.

Exchange rate was crap at 30bt -33bt to the £.

Seedy 99% thai brothel in ban Phe  near koh Samet (with pig sty concrete block style cubicles with separating walls 5ft high  and could chat or look over the top at your mates)was 200bt ST with the clap thrown in for free.

Hi. Many 10-days visits in Pattaya in 2000-2003 

BF in bars was 150-200. ST 500, LT 800-1'000

BF in most agogos was 500. LT was 1'500 B max.

Soi 7, 8 and 9 (!) were full of bars and pretty ladies 

Happy Agogo, SuperBaby and Peppermint were top agogos.

Tim Bar/Agogo was great with good line-up of young ladies and nice cheap rooms.

Year 2000 my first ever bar fine 400baht  in a gogo in Patong. 18 year old. Stayed with me all night did her all night (33 years old in those days). Breakfast swam with me left at 1pm. I gave her 500 baht (hotel charged me 700 joiner fee). She was over the moon.

Pattaya bar fine 200 baht. LLT kept her all day all night every day. Paid the bar fine every day. 1000 baht per day. With the exchange rate it was about £14 if memory serves me right. Bargain.....best years ever....st in my opinion didn't seem that common. Everyone around me was doing GFE.

Even in those days she wouldn't swim in the sea. Kept telling me poo in the sea. I just laughed. Little did I know.

Late 80s
Bar fine in beer bars was 100-150 baht and LT was 500 Baht (could occasionally negotiate 300 baht but I'd give them the 500 anyway, all part of the game).
From GoGos bar fine 200-300 baht, LT 500-1000 baht.
ST was uncommon but places like The Billion, Blue House, King Kong in soi 6 when it opened were bar 100-150 baht, girl 300 baht.
I think the BJ in the No Hand Bar was 300 baht.

Historically the exchange rate was in the 40-50 range to the £, and the USD was 25-26 pretty much up until the Asian financial crisis in 1997.

Near 1995 if i  remember well the barfine was 150 baths and the girl 500 bath for LT and for a pretty girl . Some older girls asked 300 baths.    It was not impossible having freebies but i was young and handsome .  

As far as i remember in gogos it was maximum 1000 and 300 barfine .  Drinks were much much cheaper than now .    If compare with the change it was like 20 $ for long time BF and girl including .   

Few years later i discovered  to Soi 6 and it was 600 ST and 200 for room then it changed fast at 700 + 300 .  I went to soi  7 and 8 for years without knowing about Soi 6 ! 

Feel like many girls were more pretty and more friendly than now .

I first came to town 98, 500 + barfine LT (beer bar) was the standard rate with some very attractive girls asking 1000. I was 21 and very fit and would often meet girls at Marine nightclub who would come home with no payment. By the time I did my last trip in about 06 the standard rate seemed to be 1000 LT.
