Hi I was hoping someone could tell me or give me addresses or web sites of vendors or people who are renting out property's in the Nurin condos just off third road. I am only renting for a month so finding it difficult as most rel estate web sites only have yearly contracts. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance . Jim

Send a PM to @how122255. He has a rental unit there he's currently trying to sell, but is willing to rent. If he doesn't have a unit for you, he might be able to put you in touch with someone that does.

Thanks !!!  I have already contacted him.  I usually only rent for longer periods than 1 month.  I don't think mine will work out for him as the wifi and cable TV are currently off.  It cost too much to turn them on for only a 1 month rental.  Thank you

try baht and sold

Ask a silly question and i'll leave a silly answer

Would have been easier if you googled it yourself.

staying there currently.... was super easy to find a monthly deal with feet on the ground.  Just about every storefront unit has rentals available.  Going rate is about 5k/month and don't pay more than actual for utilities.  Don't think I'd recommend the place but it is super cheap.

Curious as to why you would not recommend the place.  Nice to hear an unbiased opinion of someone actually living there.

I’ve done a walk through there once and looked at a few updated units.  A bit small but not quite as bad as some talk about.  Especially for the price.

I travel in and out of town often so the price is economical to have a place to keep your stuff.

He probably doesn't want to live in a hovel with furniture from the 1980s and a black & white tv :)

Thanks for your post.  The TV  is color  and the furniture was bought new in 2013.

sorry for the slow reply, just noticed this with a more recent post.  Place is kinda of chill how it's layed out and is  sort of a little community with the ground floors being shops and restaurants.

What I didn't like:

Sewer smells I assume from poorly designed, installed and/or maintained systems.  I was constantly closing the chase access doors in the corridors which I think people open to try to keep the smell out of their units and in the halls.

Units are on small electric service.  Using the hot water when the A/C is on trips the unit breaker that must be reset by facilities people somewhere in the power distribution.

Parking for a Car is difficult and crowded and a bit rough on equipment.  Bikes aren't much better.

My unit had other electrical issues which were a bit unnerving.  Had a sparky in a couple of times in the 4 months I was there.  To the owner's credit they did put in a safety cut main panel first off but that just reveled further issues  which were going to be a bit messy to address so I told them to wait. Last couple of weeks I just gave up and dealt with no power in the bathroom(rats and romex).  A/C was quite old and not cheap to run.  Fortunately was paying actual electric costs.

Took me 7 weeks to get my deposit back as the thai manager had "invested" the money in inventory for her shop.  She did eventually get me paid off with weekly payments.

Not a horrible place but I think there are equal or better alternatives.  Nurin is predominantly thai occupied which I actually enjoy but I'd be just as happy in a real thai place for less.

I never had any electrical issues, in any of my condos,  in my 11 years experience at Nirun.  It sounds like you had avery old a/c and maybe that was causing problems.  I have had the microwave, TV, fridge,  air cond.,  and hot water shower all going at the same time and never tripped any circuit breakers.  I always found there to be lots of motorbike parking but very late at night things could get tighter. Getting your deposit back in not a Nirun issue and can be problematic in any rental. I always returned customers deposits the same day as they left.  Better luck with your next rental.

" I think there are equal or better alternatives".

Where would these places be at a similar price and convenient  centralized location ??? Could you please give us a few specific (names)  suggestions. Thanks

Now there are a lot of good deals. Lot of nicer complexes can rent for 5 to 8k. Lots of posts on Facebook in Pattaya real estate groups. Airbnb some deals for around 8k with utilities included for the month (certain limit though).

I agree, that if you want to spend 7K-9K monthly ,  you can get bigger and nicer condos.  I might agree to rent mine for 4000-4500,  which is still a very good deal.  Always, if you can pay more, you will get better.  Thanks

Thanks yozz. I like the location as it's just a little bit away from the madness but close enough to walk and the place is relatively cheap even though a little worn giving me some more dosh for the little angels of Pattaya.
