Dental implants

Has anybody actually had dental implant(s) done in Pattaya and would be willing to give an opinion of the results. I'm more interested in quality than price.

This is a topic that gets discussed from time to time but I've not met anybody who's actually had it done here

Thanks

This is something that I am considering having done on my next trip so I too would be glad of any info. Price will play a part for me though.

I would also like to know how long it takes, in terms of number of visits and surgical procedure.

Exile,

As no-one seems to have anything to say about implants in Thailand, I would be grateful for any comments on your experience of implants generally. Has it been trouble free and do you expect it to be reasonably permanent?

I have been quoted THB 50,000 - 85,000 here, so you seem to have got a good price in UK.

Thanks.

From what I have picked up from various threads dealing with dentistry in Patts, it seems that the cost of dental work is about one - fifth (1/5) of what it would cost in the West.

It's around 30,000-80,000 here.

It's difference in system, material, equipment,....

I suggest noble bio care. It's a well-known system in the world.

The price is around 50,000.

About the treatment plan:

First you've to take a panoramic x-ray(Full mouth) Which's not much clinic in pattaya has this equipment.

Then it's take about 2 hours for implant.

Just that for first visit after that come back in 6 mouth for evaluation for put the crown part.

1 or 2 implants I would try Thailand, but anything beyond that, you get what you pay for. Your bite is very important and having a poor bite with implants can end up loosening the natural teeth opposing them.

Implants these days are very successful, but do require better maintenance. Improved oral hygiene and more regular cleanings. And in theory, smoking is bad for your gums.

I have many many implants and I did learn the hard way you get what you pay for after having multiple failures.

Guys i have looked at a few in bkk and was amazed at how many do this sort of thing.

I think the quality would be pretty good these days and it will be something i will do in the distant future.

Thought about it last trip but spent my money in you know what..........................lol.
