Visiting versus Living in Pattaya

If you're living in Pattaya, I'm just wondering if your outlook has changed from visiting it. Do the girls treat you differently...in either good or worse ways? I'd be interested to hear. Thanks for your comments.

Many of us that have decided to live in the area prefer Jomtien, as it is more laid back. Also, after a few weeks (maybe months), one gets tired of eating at the candy store everyday. A dwindling bank account is also not a good feeling. 

The girls do tend to treat us better - "they are more comfortable with the devil they know". Also, I could speculate that after being here for awhile most Farangs become more respectful of Thai culture and that is noticed. Probably that one stops (hopefully) drinking like they are on vacation is also a plus.

Living here, ladies who are not deep in the life begin to notice you as well. Having a regular GF or two or three that you can go out to dinner with etc. can be fun as well, but be careful as the efficiency of the bamboo wire is amazing.

One other observation on my part is that the good girl - bad girl line is not as black and white in Thailand as it is in other countries. If a mostly good girl steps over the line with a little LT freelancing, she is not considered a bad girl.

Just goes to show, to each their own.

When living for 4 years in Pattaya I loved living in the center of Pattaya and I did not get tired of Candy.

It is good that you like Jomtien, I would not consider living there as an option.

There is no one size fits all, as I read one of the daily ongoing threads, I am just about as opposite as you can get in opinion and in the way I do things and see things. I respect that he has his way of seeing and doing things, they simply are vastly different to mine.

Just the same as visiting any country vs. living there.

I consider that overall I treat other people well, and the girls have always as far as I can remember treated me well.

What does change, in the same way as living in any place, you get to know more about the people around you and you get more involved in each others day to day life.

I am sure learning the language helps in blending with the locals, if you are living there full time it must be exacting if everyone you interact with takes you for a visiting tourist & tries to extract their pound of flesh. Pattaya can be cruel that way, very demanding.

As with anywhere one gets used to a place, I used to live in Pattaya many many moons ago. Now I am always on the move just because I like the change of scenery, and mongering in other places too such as Colombia, Dominican Republic, Poland, Japan.. mainly just to fuck a much wider variety of women with different cultural attitudes and looks

I think this used to be a more common term. Basically is it meant to describe how quickly Thai women exchange info.
