Normally I get the excellent Bell Bus service from the airport to Pattaya, but on my next visit I won't be arriving until 7.30pm so the last Bell Bus of the day has already finished.

Are there any other transfer options that run in the evening,  apart from just hiring a Taxi?

Yes, agree with above always use Mr T no messing about that time in the evening book in advance and his driver will be waiting for you at door no 3 and your on your way, been using Mr T for years.

 

389 bus is good and they run until 10 pm at a cost of 130 Baht.  Lots of flights from Europe that have one stop in middle east seem to arrive between 5.45 and 8 pm at Suvarnabhumi. Assuming its takes an hour to clear customs and get bag you should have a decent chance of making the 9 pm bus to Pattaya. Also those later buses get to Pattaya quickly, as there's little traffic usually about 1 hour 45 minutes.
