Leeds United Thread

The FA tried and failed to disrupt Leeds. Read a report Leeds got to hotel Friday teatime to be met with the news Kiko was banned, so no time to blood Messlier in.

He made a few play out mistakes I understand this is because he is left footed as against kiko being right, took time to remember by the defense when playing it back. Something to work on in training.

As the fans sang the football leagues corrupt, whats the next trick they will try ?????

I don't think Leeds were completely caught out. Yes it wasn't offical until Tea time Friday and Kiko had traveled to Hull with the team but Leeds did have a third keeper with them, Elia Caprila was on the bench for the match.

Messlier played well with the exception of a few of his kick outs so hopefully they will work on this during the week.

Bamford again played well but no end result. Great to see Tyler Roberts come in and find the net twice.

Oi! :P (its actually at Leeds).

Both coming off the back of 4-0 victories at the weekend, Leeds four wins on the bounce without conceding, us two good performances that will raise confidence levels, somethings got to give!

Tbh i` d be delighted with a draw against a team thats going for automatic, whatever happens the fate of either club wont be decided this saturday, got my ticket and will be hopeing!

Things are tightening up nicely at the top with only ten to go for the season

Finally get goals by other players besides the usual suspect

A few more confidence-boosting performances like this

That'll do quite nicely

2--0 and Bamford scored at last, he could not miss that one he was on the goal line. 36,000 plus at the game.

Top of the league with other results going in Leeds favor.

9 to go keep believing  MOT

Great goal from Ailing, 3 goals in 5 matches, not bad for a right back.

Maybe he should swap positions with Bamford.

Good to see Bamford on the score sheet even if it was a tap in.

I went to the game, no complaints Leeds thoroughly deserved their win, although it didnt help with us conceding after only three minutes against a team who now haven`t conceded in five, an uphill battle more or less straight away, we settled down a bit after and first half was pretty even. Once again an early goal in the second half made the game as good as over, just a case of not getting overrun.

We were feeding of scraps most of the second half, but i thought the Town fans helped to generate a decent atmosphere between us and the south stand, thought it was funny when just after a rendition of ``two nil in your cup final`` the attendance was given out as the biggest of the season.

9 to go, and the chasing pack taking points off each other.

This is good.

Finally things starting to click. Somebody helping Bamford in with the goals

Not a bad way to react after the shaky start

Well done on the victory in your cup final. We were well and truly beat and had no answers to getting back into the game. Ref didn't fucking help though did he. But he a closet Leeds fan. But anyway he wasn't scoring the goals for you. Oh well

Because you filled your allocation most teams do not, well done.

They have to sell bottom tier of West stand to us to fill up in certain games.

All sounds a bit salty. Whats your problem Leeds have had crap refs most of the season. In Leeds cup final. Not even a derby in Leeds eyes only in yours.

Not a bad run-in at all really.

I thought things looked easier from mid February, and it's good to see the lads ruthlessly taking advantage.

Fingers firmly crossed.

Another good weekend for Leeds, Forest getting stuffed (their challenge for top 2 surely almost dead now),

Fulham drawing at BR - I watched the game, Fulham showed a few touches but were not too impressive - and

West Brom having gone off the boil.

As for Leeds, they look a settled confident unit just now, starting to take some of their many chances and firm

at the back, playing some lovely passing football.

Phillips probably back for the trip to Cardiff (often a bogey ground for us) which will be good as Beradi

looked a bit off the pace in the first half.

Harrison maturing into a great player and young Meslier, while not really tested yet, looks competent enough.

Seven points above 3rd (eight really given the goal difference) with nine games left.

Why was it your highest attendance this season then?

Because you managed to fill the away allocation only team this season. But still only 2,500. Would have been 37,00 if you lot had not bothered. Anyway don't worry you lost.

I'm not sure it was, the figure they quoted on the TV was about 36,500.

There have been several 37k+ ones.

Whilst it might be bad for us a 16 year wait in the wilderness. Imagine the expectations, waiting twice that length of time 32 years and being two wins away from glory.

NO REST THEN

Marcelo Bielsa has stunned some of his Leeds players and staff by deciding not to give his squad any extra time off during English football's Coronavirus-enforced break.

Bielsa is determined not to let his promotion-chasing players take their foot off the gas and responded to Friday's suspension by ordering them to come in for every day of training as previously planned.

Some clubs have given their players up to ten days off after all action in England's top four divisions was suspended until April 3 at the earliest due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus but it is business as usual for Elland Road taskmaster Bielsa.
