Appears to be a nice unit in a good area.

The Center Condo is in a great location with great views but the whole complex has seen better days.....

Thanks. I tried indeed to pre-answer most frequent questions.

I would say he saw worse days.... Since owners (mostly farangs) took back control of the committee and management (7 years ago?), a lot has been done to Center Condo and I now could complain on very small details only.

Among recent years works: Outside painting, inside painting, 3 elevators refitting, reflooring & re-ceiling of all corridors and common areas, upgrade of emergency light and fire equipment, replacement of TV cables, pre-cabling internet fiber, etc.

Honnestly, there are recent condos with very bad management that already degraded more than this 30 year old one

And don't forget "quality of the old times". No cigarette-paper thin walls here

Already +11 year in this place. The location is great with all what I need just near the condo (and this great view!) but I sometimes dream of being not so much inside a touristic area and a bars and girls environment.

I really don't know what I will do and where I will go, but just 1 or 2 km East of 3rd Road, you can already find another world where live "normal" people.

If you want to be with ‘normal’ people then I can understand you moving from Center Condo :hello10:

Was that accomplished by using the 19 baht per sq meter CAM fees or was a special assessment needed?

Most renovations made using special assessment... because until last year the CAM was still 10 baht/sqm, same value since 1993 (!) when the condo opened...

No special assessment this year. The 19 baht CAM should be enough to manage and maintain the condo for several years.

Ask a silly question and i'll leave a silly answer

Would have been easier if you googled it yourself.

Not really :P. Same person to put the 2 ads on Internet, yes,

but this other one is for a French friend of mines living just below my condo.

He just doesn't know much about Internet...

BTW I now also have put my condo for sale on the Internet (bahtsold, facebook)

and on BigC Xtra board, all with a price of 2.5 millions baht.

I can't edit the price in my first message, but of course it's now 2'500'000 baht here too.

From the pictures it looks to not have a stove or oven!  Is this common in condos in Pattaya?

Just a reminder that posts in this section should be relevant to the item for sale only and not wander into the byways of the Pattaya property market etc. One post removed.

Most condos have a microwave and a hob. It is quite rare to find an actual built-in oven in a condo. I’ve not had one in any condo I’ve rented so this condo isn’t unusual. Oukiva can confirm, but it looks as if there’s no built-in hob so you’d need to get a freestanding one - as some people buy free-standing ovens for condos.

I consider myself extremely well read and traveled but never came across the word hob!

british slang for cooktop!

It’s not slang it’s the proper term.

and the vendor ain't british !

I like the TV-watching setup with two fans playing at the chair in front of the window.  I may be missing something obvious but for a bed, does the occupant sleep on that black sofabed?  Some people might want to put a proper bed where the desk now is.  A kitchen with that much cupboard space but no sink, hob or oven is interesting.

Oukiva has posted on the forum that when he sold one of his double units and moved into this one only, he decided to not have a bed so he had more space. He uses a roll up mattress. Not something I’d want to do (I may not get up off the floor:-) but each to his own.
