Havana Bar and Terrazzo Restaurant at Holiday Inn review

I chose this place as I heard they had live music (light jazz) and a nice venue. I found them also on Eatigo and booked a 530pm reservation for 4 friends @ 30% off. Live music starts at 530pm Th-Mon. The music wasn't jazz but it was very nice and at a perfect volume so it didn't take away from conversation or the meal. The venue is laid out well with a good view of the beach. There was a 2 for 1 drink promotion and we all ordered beers. You can watch them cook out on the patio and the food was very good. The portions were nice sized. The bread to start off was fresh and warm and was a hit with us all. The balsamic and olive oil dip was good and even better when the olive oil was sopped up first leaving the balsamic for dipping. We sat outside as the lounge area was not as friendly for dining but they told me either was place we would be served. There was a nice breeze coming through the place and it was tranquil. After our bread we were served our dishes of a Havana Burger, Lamb Burger, and two pasta dishes with clams. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I also ordered a greek salad which 2 if us split and that was nice. I would definitely go back and try it again. There is a picture of the promos and the pizza deal looks promising. They do have some Thai food on the menu. The lounge has some cigars for sale but I couldn't see the prices. Out bill for 10 beers, 3 coffees, a salad, 2 burgers meals and 2 pasta meals was under 3K for four of us with the discount if I remember correctly. 10% service and 7% vat was added. We asked the waitress and she said the staff splits the 10% service fee. So the 30% discount was maybe more like 13% after the 17% was added. We did not get the 30% discount on the 2 for 1 beers of course as they don't allow double dipping. Eatigo has up to 50% off deals for Havana but not that high when live music is playing. The music consisted of a woman singer and a guitar player. They were really nice to listen to for a change.

 

The place is located off beach road and can be accessed from the beach or off Soi 1 and park at the Holiday Inn and walk past the front door and down the stairs to the entrance of the Havana Lounge and through to the outdoor seating.

You are right about eatigo...surprised more people don't use it....lots of places offer 50% off at devent times and many places in T21....a nice break from the norm

I forgot to add one detail that matters to me. The seats there are extremely comfortable for our western sized butt. We stayed there quite a long time just having a nice chat with each other.

Thanks for the post. High on my list of places I would like to see are some good Latin (I do not mean Mex of Tex-Mex) and Cajun places.

Did you happen to notice, if there was a Cuban Sandwich on the menu? I am very spoiled on these from the times I spent in the Keys. I know "Big Kahuna" has a Cuban over in Jomtien and I have tried it. It is an interesting sandwich, but it just ain't a Cuban Sandwich.

Since I am ranting a bit, I would probably cream my jeans, if someone opened a Popeye's.

I was also there...  We really should have went inside to their air conditioned seating area, which looked very nice and comfortable...   The mosquito's ate me alive outside...

As for the food/prices...  western hotel, western restaurant, western prices...  even with 2/1 beer, 30% discount, special on Burgers on Monday...  but hey, you're sitting on Beach Rd...  555
