Saigon Arrival - pay for VOA and immigration fast track?

Recommended Posts

I plan to get a visa invitation letter for a visa on arrival.  In addition to the basic service, the company handling the processing offers two levels of fast track service upon arrive: a) escorted VOA processing and b) escorted immigration fast lane, each for $25 USD additional.  I will arrive around 9:30 in the evening.  I haven't been to Saigon before and don't know if it's at all like the lovely immigration queue at Suvarnabhumi.  I suspect not nearly as busy but I thought I would at least ask...

My question, are the lines long and would you recommend paying-up for the expedited fast track?

yes, as BM ricktoronto has said get an evisa if you can.  He has provided a link to the official government site.  The other sites often just use this and charge you a premium.  I did the evisa when I went there and got through immigration in no time and that was during the day.

Taken around 7.30 evening, each queue had approx 20 people but there were a lot of desks open. Clearance took 12 minutes
