I had the same problem, Giardia. Worse time of my life, ended up in Hospital for Tropical Diseases in isolation. I've got Corona Virus at ht emomnete but it's nothing compared to rimmimg disease. I blame porn, 25 years ago people weren't licking ass, now its the first think they do in a porno.

Sorry I am very late seeing this post . I love ass... and want to stick my tongue further and further in or up.... last year ... no idea which lady ... I got an infection and spent a few hours in City Hospital ... doctor questioned me about my activities and I was very straight with him.. he thought that it was more likely the infection came from Anal play and since I never let my little friend go hunting without a coat on I think it was the tongue digging that done it ... injections and 4 different tablets and a second visit to the hospital and I was ok in a few days . I always knew it had to happen sometime . It’s not as if you could even imagine it was a safe practice .

Correct I have got it twice both times I think it was water I had drunk from the free water container that is used in the thai village eateries. its not a big deal you get the shits your shit stinks it will go away without treatment but will take a few weeks the treatment is one tab a day for 6 days normal antibiotics don't work.

How do you avoid this then? Just drink bottled water?

Right. Bottled water only, don't trust the ice, and no raw foods incl. salad (tossed or otherwise).

Back in the day I was part of a clinical trial for shigella vaccine. It didn't work. Worst stomach cramps you can possibly imagine. Though credit to the facility what they wacked us with to treat the symptoms worked quickly and well. If giardia is anything like that, you really don't want it.

Yes and make sure the seal is intact and you open it at your table there have been many a case of it being given to your table open not good it could have been filled with tap water.

Even some of the water filter machines will not block it you need a reverse osmosis or one with a UV light filter.

Oh Shit... I've read about these infections and since 69 is one of my favorite positions I've engaged in close study of the anal and vaginal topography. I sometimes  wonder if any critters inhabiting the anal corridor may migrate. In vigorous 69 my nasal cavity sometimes gets lodged in the buttocks. I am fairly fastidious and resolve only to engage in this activity with my regulars. I can't believe I've avoided this one, so far......

But really, it could come from any water that's been contaminated with feces from just about anything.  It was the most commonly discussed issue with drinking water anywhere in the forest while camping when I was a kid.

One of my friends contracted h-pylori whilst in pattaya.  He thinks it was from contaminated food. He's still not over it yet , lots of stomach problems, cramps/pains ana it been 6 months .
