I noticed today that the KFC on the ground floor of central ix closed, also the burger king between soi 7/8, Not that it bothers me as I don't eat there, just the occasional ice cream.

Yeah, seems that BK between soi 7/8 just closed last week. But you can still get an ice cream at the Royal Garden Plaza mall BK, I think :)

Yes I know, I love the BK soft Ice cream, better than Mcd KFC or DQ, That's 3 out of 4 Bks now shut.

My favorite soft ice cream is the chocolate at a Japanese fast food place at Central Marina, outside the food court. Only 10 Baht. I hope it's still open when I get back there.

And I'm sure they will be the first of many, over the next few months. Apart from Thai Holidays and weekends the place is empty.

The noodle stall at the top of soi MIt, and corner of soi bukhao, was missing last night, Although it's table and chairs were still ther. I cannot remember a time this place ever not being there,

Am I right in thinking that ‘Steak & Co’s’ new Chinese venture isn’t open yet?

Wait a minute.   That's not the Panda Resto adjacent to Smoking Joe's is it?

It was meant to be called The Hungry Panda but not heard anything since the start of the year.

I don’t know. I don’t remember a location being mentioned - but it was back in December so I might have forgotten.

The Grill has been open and hungry panda is still doing deliveries. Not sure if they're serving inside as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

buakaow about opposite Black Snake bar another pizza place has appeared........old school pizza (it was briefly the site of the greek pattayanis when they came back from the failed effort in pratumnak)

and in the arcade at the second road end of soi diana a new restaurant is steadily being finished. the site was the big horn steak house for years (and used to advertise endlessly on local tv )

intended theme as yet unknown to me as they have anti photo guy camouflage in place

The last Thai gf I had (many years ago) was in that ad. I loved the cheesy advertisements back in the day, followed by the pirated DVDs that showed without regard to copyright laws.
