New 7 Eleven being built next to Gullivers on Beach Road. Appears to have a coffee shop on the first floor. Not apparent what was being built there but saw a 7 Eleven sign up this morning.

Why would they build a 7-11 there? That is the least busy part of the beach.....Puls they just closed down many 7-11s not to long ago...

Had only gone there once, but was pretty good.

Only once myself.  Food was ok but smallish imo.  Never saw it busy and passed by many times during my trips.  Look forward to trying the Mex, whenever...my trip in 6 days cancelled (of course) :Offtopic2:

I took the GF one night but never set foot in it....customers sat inside smoking after a meal....WTF it,s a restaurant and small one at that....I,m surprised it lasted as long as it did...cute waitresses though.

Walked by there today and also took some menu photos. Food looks reasonably priced. Drinks not so much. Sorry about the reflections in the pics...

It's a more adventurous menu than you usually see in Pattaya at a (Tex) Mex(ican) restaurant.  In fact, I can't recall seeing chicharon,  tongue barbacoa, red and green enchiladas, flautas and pozole on a Pattaya menu before.  It would be great if Senor Taco turns out to be a real taqueria.

It's a rough time to be starting a new restaurant, though. I wish the owners the best of luck, including Mexican good luck charms by the bushel.

I had not been in a while, but I did like the place. They had pretty good oysters and shrimp cakes. The view off of Jomtien Beach Road was nice as well. Their greens in soy sauces were good sides as well. Although I am not wild about greens, I should be eating more of them. The GF is on my ass about this at times, rightly so. I think you were the one who originally mentioned Obaroi to me.

That’s a pity as ate there few times with regular thai gf and both enjoyed it as great seafoods and service and  nice view of jomtien beach with lovely breeze.

word is Brooklyn diner buakaow opposite LK Metro is now closed and up for sale

If I’m thinking of the right one, I’ve seen the entire building advertised for sale. Sorry, I forget the price.

Edit: pretty sure I got it confused with another pizza place. Isolation addled my brain.

Damn shame to see the Haven closed,, used to enjoy their breakfast choices. Never saw the rooms, but seemed quite busy when I have been in.
