Can someone tell me how long before AirAsia flight to Udon I would have to check in?

Also what are the cheapest travel options from Pattaya?

In practice, they would probably start checking in people a couple of hours before the flight.

I can't tell you the cheapest way to get to U-Tapao, but the most practical is to take a taxi.

Domestic is usually an hour beforehand, you could probably check in later but why risk it.

Air asia have a minibus service from besides Central Festival for 250 baht.

Not cheap enough? Baht bus to Rayong and motorbike taxi from there should undercut that.

Where do you get the baht bus to R ayong and how much is the fare ?

You'd catch one on Sukhumvit and I'm not sure of the price but think it's the red ones that go to Rayong. To be honest my suggestion was a bit tongue in cheek and wouldn't recommend it.
