247 boutique hotel - june 2019

I got one of the lowest class rooms from Agoda at 1100b, the rooms look exactly like on the hotels webpage, everything is new and fresh. Location is right in the middle of soi honey so everything you need is very close. There is a small "dog door" so you can sneak out to soi 10 and tree town without having to go all the way around.

Shower both hand held and a strong rain type, water was so hot you can probably boil a lobster if you leave it on the floor with the shower on and go out for a massage. Small fridge, free water, kettle with coffee/tea  replenished daily. Slippers, bath robes, safe, umbrellas etc. Breakfast no idea, didn't book the room with one and always sleep until noon so I skip those anyway. No issues with WIFI or internet access.

TV nice and clear picture, many channels, everything is clean in the room and outside. The pool looked nice, the gym has a treadmill, combo tower and a bike if I remember, nothing to write home about but it's there. The crew is extremely professional, like from a hotel of much higher price, they probably share employees with their other hotels and let the higher rated one set the bar.

Guest friendly, girl leaves her ID at the front desk and even gets a receipt. Was never any issues but I only brought one at a time. The only girl issue is that the shower is glass walled so some girls get shy, I can understand that they don't want the customer to stare at them while they crabdance in the shower.

The bad: The hotel is right next to tree town so the back rooms get some music 22:00 to 02:00ish. Outside of that no issues. House keeping shows up at weird times, they preferred to clean my room at 15:00 - 17:00 but that's a minor thing. They leave a cart out during the day so I just changed towels early by my self if it was needed.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone, will definitely return there next trip.

There is a curtain that can be pulled down in the shower for privacy.

the decorative pillows they leave on top of the real pillows smell like 10 years of OB. i threw those MOFOs off my bed and had them change the pillow cases.

Same as any hotel, I never use them in any place of the world for just this reason :)

@swedish_bob Thanks very much for the informative report. Stayed at 24/7 on a few occasions and always enjoyed it. I didn’t know there was a shortcut to Treetown...is it at the back of the car park?

I started to look for the possibility after reading your Acqua report(nice one!) , from the 247 side it's behind the reception/car park, turn left, there are some tables for smoking, you see a small path and a low door. You come out besides the sign from the Acqua side that reminds people you can cross in to tree town here. I guess they could close the door if randoms abuse it so it's not obvious it's there.

interesting about the shortcut to tree town. stayed there 4 or 5 times and didn't know that.
+1, it's my favourite hotel in pattaya.
i'll stay there again in july. i recommend everyone to check the hotel prices on their website directly. often it's cheaper than on any booking site. i pay 989thb / night all inclusive (840 before taxes & fees), and these prices were available as well for june.
(but normally, if you look at prices far in advance, they're very high, even in complete low season).

two slight negatives:
- you regularly need to reconnect to the wifi if you leave the room. it only takes a few seconds, but is still a little annoying.
- most of the time, there's no service at the pool. you can order food & drinks and they bring it, but often there's no one around to take an order. (but i assume in theory you could call down or of course go down to the reception).

I use that short cut alot, especially when I don't feel like running the ladyboy gauntlet on Soi Honey!

If you stay in one of the mini-suites(sleeps 3),they won't charge for the second girl.I think all the other rooms charge a joiner for 2 ladies.

There is something wrong in the plumbing. Hot water comes out when the faucet is turn all the  way to the cold... I always have trouble taking a shower during the day. At night it's not as hot

never had that happen myself. did you complain?

stayed there again last week and was (as always), very happy. absolutely 0 problem and amazing value.
ideally, the AC would be a tiny bit stronger. i normally don't let it running while out of the room. and then coming back and setting it to the lowest temperature is sometimes not enough to cool it fast enough and girls complain during the action. (but of course, you can simply run the AC while you're outside. they give you a 2nd key card only for that).

I did not like the bathroom layout.  You have to step in to the shower to close/ open the door: i.e. opens inward just clearing the vanity,  no clearance

i'm not 100% i follow what you mean.
you have to step in to the shower to close / open what door? the bathroom door or the shower door?

fyi: the bathroom layout is not the same in all rooms. for example i never had this bathroom layout (but i also always book the same room).
in "my room", if i sit on the toilet, i look towards the bed. and the sink is instead where the toilet is in the pic below.

^ Yes, the rooms are different, especially bathroom. The rooms off the main corridor have a larger sink area, which I prefer, even though these are the 'noisier' rooms.

Your review prompted me to book 5 nights next month

In mini suite it was little bit cheaper booking direct

Was a bit perved with my last visit (#4 this year). I always use Booking.com with pay on arrival option, but this time they charged me a month in advance. They acknowledged the mistake, but it was still annoying.

If you book with breakfast, you now go to Aqua hotel, which some say had a better breakfast anyway (which I disagreed with, until now, Hive Restaurant has been acquired by some bald Indian dude, worst breakfast I've had in Pattaya, he also owns the Honey Inn now).
