I did stay there for a week in October.

The rooms are very nice and for a good price as well.

Location is what i think one of the best in Pattaya (my view of course),since it is about in the middle of things.

When i did stay there i had nothing what so ever to complain about......except the fact that there is no one working during the night,so the security is not good(no id card check on your guest)

I think i did pay about 500-550 a night.

The rooms was cleaned every day.

Its now under new management so might be staff 24/7 not sure.

No security is probably a bonus for those of you with alternative lifestyles who get a bit shy handing over an ID card to reception which states MALE on it.

IMHO , it was, is, and will always be a pokey little bar, that looks full if there is 20 people in it,

 

although previous management though they was running Stringfellows, he was way off the mark...

Dont think they were too bad although they are a wee bit greasy. Could only eat half most of the times anyway body didnt like much else but liquor

I stayed in the 700 baht room which was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a DVD player. Also, location-wise, 3som is fantastic.

3som was the place i was considering staying at until the whole Ackademic situation happened. Is 3som still a good place to stay if you are on a budget?

I have stayed next door at the Rockhouse. I had a first fllor room for 2 weeks and did not have any problem with noise from the bar below or outside in the Soi. Hope this goes someway to answereing the question.
