I hate this place. The only good things are the unlimited free guests policy (back in 2016: just 10thb for a photocopy of their ID, no photo required so it's compatible with Devil's Den), that it's near the beach and the swimming pool is deep. All the rest is terrible. The rooms look old and dirty, the bathrooms smell of sewage. The aircon is extremely noisy. Internet so slow that it's unusable even just for loading an text webpage (so my input is no wifi). There is also a colonialist vibe that I dislike in the decoration. Only westerners stay here.

If you are here during the pattaya music festival, the scene is just near your room and you cannot sleep, even during the day time they make microphone tests all day long, so basically you cannot sleep. I have stayed 2 times in this hotel because my friend finds that there is a nice 'resort' embiance due to the swimming pool an green grass garden, but for me this place is plain overpriced crap.

There is no safe box in the room.

This is an updated version of a review I initially posted in another website.

Overpriced ?

How much was it ?
The wifi was crap. There was a safety box in the room I stayed the first time. The second time I was in the cheapest one with no safety box.
The breakfast was kind of good and the wifi was better in this area.

I had similar experience with the nasty bathroom.

I consider the pool even better than the VT6 one.

I don't want to say something stupid, but I think it was around 25 euros per night back then which was around 1000thb per night. I would not be surprised if it is more expensive now. I maintain that it is overpriced for what it is.

Priced comparably I much prefer the breakfast and the swimming pool in the Bella Express, but it is not as deep. And the rooms are so much better, with some crappy but usable wifi.

Very nice hotel, stayed at this place around ten times and mostly at the superior rooms facing the pool. One day to my shock I saw a Cobra snake near the poolside slithering from the garden and that was my last stay at the hotel. I have a phobia for snakes.

Living sober, clean and staying away from loose women doesn't make a man live any longer. It just fucking feels like it.

Do they still have mini-golf ?

Posted

The last time I stayed here and it has changed hands a few times was 1989 and called Nipa Lodge remember it guys this was on my 3rd trip seems a very long time now, I remember one of the best features of the hotel was it's large swimming pool but it's become old and dated now although location is also a plus for it, it's sadly become overpriced for it's condition but I must say I have not stayed here since 1989 so don't know what it's like inside, do remember my room in 1989 was over the road with bars opposite so not much sleep until after 2 am. Not sure if still have mini-golf these days.
