Royal Palace Hotel

I booked my pattaya hotel last minute, the day before I left Bangkok. That was a bad move. Didn't know about Chinese New Year. Every place I wanted to stay was booked. Checked Agoda to see what was left and crossed checked with this site. Royal palace hotel seemed like the best out of what was left. Didn't really like the place, but I was stuck there since I booked for 8 days. They didn't have a room available with one big bed so I ended up with a twin bed room. That actually worked out when I had a LT over. They dont have a safe in the rooms. You're supposed to leave your valuables downstairs with the staff. That's a no for me. So I just stayed in my room during the afternoons until the maid finished cleaning my room. Maid service was always late. Service says from 7-4, but she would always show up after 5. The ac in the room always made me feel sick. I even took the filter out and cleaned it, but that barely helped. I ended up turning the ac off and leaving the balcony door halfway open. The wifi in the hotel was horrible. It would cut out a lot and when it did work it was very slow. The only pros about the hotel is it looks nice, big room, location, and the stuff was friendly.

Stayed there a few years ago. What I remember is that it was exactly halfway between LK Metro & Walking Street - 6 or 7 mins walking to each. So good if you like gogos.

Also the buffet breakfast was good.

Stayed there exclusively for a few years about 7 years ago.  The hotel and rooms needs a refurbishment.   Location was ok but there are far better alternatives available.

When I stayed there maybe 10 years ago they charged a daily rate to use their wi fi.  Never. Again
