So I often find myself with stomach problems after a while into my trips and so far have gone to the hospital to get treatment, i cannot be bothered potentially wasting my time trying to save money by seeing the pharmacist, holidays are precious. I am wondering tho Pattaya must have GP'S and such minor ailments i should not need to go the a and e when a good gp will work just as well so who is recommended here? thank you

My last trip I had a bad reaction to a mozzie bite, ankle swelled up like a balloon. Went to a clinic opposite nature view hotel on so bukhau. Doc there gave me a jab and sent me off with 2 bottles if pills and some cream to put on, did the trick almost immediately felt better, swelling went down within 24hours, 1300 baht . My only experience with doctors there, others may know of better.

I have more success with Pharmacists than Doctors/Hospitals for minor ailments.

And its nought to do with saving money.

One anti-histamine tablet would have done the same.

And this is the problem with going to Doctors/Hostpitals, you end up getting a load of medicine that is not needed.

Quite possibly but the cream the pharmacy sold me was doing nothing

If I have a problem that I feel requires a doctor, I'm heading to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

They have doctors that specialize in different illnesses and you can get on their website and check out the doctors credentials.

I just feel more comfortable there, not saying the doctors in the clinics  are not knowledgeable in all  illnesses.

Whatever medicine he recommends, he has supplies at his clinic.

No, anti-histamine creams are not as effective as a tablet.

I am allergic to mosquito bites, which I found out on my first trip here, so been there and done all that.

The first thing I do is go the pharmacist if within two to three days its not getting better or I am getting worse, I always go to the private Pattaya hospital on Soi 4. They have help me on some trips when I have fallen unwell and I can highly recommend them as they deal with you very quickly.
