If a person thinks the motorbike rider is at fault then there’s no chance of surviving on a Thai road. 

I can only imagine the truck drivers defense ‘I’m driving a truck, she’s only on a motorbike should have stopped for me’

Yes, but the bike had plenty of time to stop.   Irrespective of who is in the right it is all parties responsibility to take action to avoid a collision where possible.   The motorcycle rider was a little stupid or preoccupied maybe...
