Lads, has anyone or is anyone staying at the new Maxx City on Soi AR?

im needing a place for Dec/Jan for 30 days and this place is an option for me as my pal stays along the road at 9 karot.

i have booked a 1 bedroom apartment for my trip in May 16 nights only to see if or if I don’t like it.

Personally I like the area and am just a 5 minute ride to LK and Soi  B can easily walk it in 15 minutes.

Just looking for any on the ground thoughts on the place...

Haven't stayed at the hotel, but I live in the area and it seems there are a lot of Chinese tourists staying there. If it were me I'd avoid properties that cater to tour groups, regardless of nationality, for a bit more peace and quiet. A better choice might be the Maxx Central, which is closer to LK and Soi Buakhao, and as a bonus the M-Club is just to the left of the hotel entrance.

Thank you for this. My original thoughts where to go with the central as the 1 bedroom is much bigger however is an extra £150 for my stay. The location is better, your comment on Chinese staying at the Maxx city does having me now thinking if I should change to the central and pay a little more for the quiet and larger space.

thanks

i think most of the  chinese seem to stay at the lk place further  up.

As much as I love all things Australian, I got to get me action of the asian persuasian.

I’m gonna stick with the city for my May trip and see how it is. If it’s a pain with the Chinese I will have a walk over and look at the central.

My pal lives just along the road and thinks the Chinese are at the the LK legend aswell.

I will stick up a review after a few days.
