High class high up hotel rooms

I am back in town in a couple of months got the March hotel booked but am considering treating myself to a couple of nights at a more luxurious hotel.

Would like to be on as high a floor possible with a great view and a pool is a must.

Being guest friendly would be good but not essential (will take a long time and book her in)

yes I do know how Agoda works but I’m looking for first hand recommendations since this is clearly not going to be cheap!!

Any advice would be great or maybe I should save my money for fun on the six???

While I do not stay there, if I did want to blow money in this way would be the Hilton.  Go there regularly for rooftop sunsets/cocktails and pools look fabulous - infinity about 16floors up, and private lounges.  Center of the action helps as well.  Obviously not Paris, but the Hilton family must of enjoyed Thailand a lot as their property in Hua Hin not as plush as Pattaya, but great location as well.

I've stayed in siam@siam and that ticks your boxes,my mates currently in mytt beach and looks real good however he's paying about 6k a night for his room

Any issue with taking girls back to the Hilton at staying there on my next trip

High end I've stayed at Siam@Siam and Hilton.

Siam@Siam Room and hotel was very modern. Great view over the city  from my room but lacked a balcony. Rooftop pool is great. Bass from bar below was annoying.

Hilton was a step up from Siam for me.Room had a sea view which was great. Room was a little run down. Rooftop bar has some of the best view's of the city I've seen. Chinese slamming doors at all hours was annoying.

No issues with bringing girls back to both hotels.

Not sure if i would go high end again. Its just not worth the premium for me. Long as the hotel has a good bed a quite so i get my head down to recover I'm happy.

that's NOT correct. (i think a few years back they had a joiner's fee, but not anymore).

if you go hilton: imho book the executive plus seaview room instead of their normal king seaview. it's ~50% more expensive, but it's a lot nicer.

Nice hotel but for sure not high class or high end. Pool area is very busy and full of external guests. In that price range the Holiday Inn is much better and directly on beach Road.

Hilton of course is much better. Go with a Club room, great stay guaranteed.

Nice view!

How much was that room with the tub outside? How bad was noise from Chinese in there?

Thanks

The room is a Club room inclusive of Club benefits.

Sorry but I can't recall how much I paid, t'was November 2017 so a short time ago.

I don't recall seeing many Chinese there

I've read somewhere that you can't bring your BF to the pool area at Hilton?

I try to remember, on booking hotels in LOS,  that the fire ladders only go to the 6th floor.  It's wise to remember that here, the electric and other installations are nowhere near to the level  of western safety standards.  I give up a view to sleep more soundly.

you can check prices for yourself: https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/thailand/hilton-pattaya-BKKHPHI/accommodations/executive.html it's the option at the top called "king Hilton executive - oceanfront" (68sqm).

you can find the room alone for ~9000thb / night (incl taxes) if you book in advance. if you want a cancelable room and book it short-term, it's closer to ~14000 / night. as always: prices differ.

No it wasn't. (at least the one you posted pictures off)

The standard rooms are to the side of the building, have a small "triangle" balcony and no jacuzzi on the balcony.

Check for yourself on their site if you don't believe me.

So you either got an upgrade and didn't realise it or you posted pics of a different room or you booked a more expensive room than you thought ;)

Thanks for your input petehoax

I've just delved in my emails for the original booking.

And yes you are probably correct in what you say regarding the rooms.

I had originally booked the Executive Seaview room and then selected the standby option for the Executive Plus room, I can only think that the Executive Plus room is now branded as King Hilton Executive.

The standby was dependant on availability at check in for an extra 2351bht nett per night. Opposed to guaranteeing the reservation for an extra 3767bht nett per night.

My room totalled 9059bht per night inc breakfast and club lounge privileges.

Apologies for any misunderstanding gents

The Executive Plus was rebranded in December to Executive Oceanfront. That is the room you stayed in.

If you want that room for 7 nights next week it will average 13,200 bhat per night (tax + service charge included but without breakfast) as an honors member. That is the usual rate I have payed over the different months I have stayed. I have stayed in all the room types and that is the best room. I request a corner room south-side.

This is incorrect. You can bring your BF to the pool area and nothing will be said to you.

Total nonsense. I have never checked anybody in and nobody has ever even taken a second look to who I am with. The staff have a respectful nonchalance towards patron activity. The staff are very friendly to any Thai girl you are with, happily chatting away in Thai.

Hilton has a new policy - girls must be 20 or older.

If you're taking a LLT with you why not spend a couple of nights in a 5* hotel in Bangkok. There are a lot more to choose from and it's only two hours away.

while i agree with you that the oceanfront room is very nice, my experience in bringing girls back was different:
both times i came back with a thai girl late at night (3am and 6.30am respectively) i was stopped at the bottom floor lobby and the girl had to hand in their ID, even though i said there's no need for it and it's ok. The night concierce was very friendly and apologetic, but insisted on it. (1 girl was dressed quite conservatively, the other one less so... a somewhat short dress, but still not something over the top slutty). Both times, neither of us was especially drunk.
with the 2nd girl, i was again stopped on the 16th floor while going to the 2nd set of elevators and asked for my room number by a security guard (in quite a rude manner).
on the following day while checking the girls out, the experience was on both days bad. we had to wait 2-3 minutes until a security guard appeared who looked pissed and arrogant and was not friendly at all and really embodied a "how dare you bring a hooker in this fine establishment" attitude. It pissed me of quite a lot. (everyone else was nice and helpful, but this really dampened the experience somewhat and i don't think i'll stay there again).

I am surprised. Have stayed there at least 30-40 times in last 8 years and NEVER had any issues at all... never been stopped when bringing any girl back, even brought a group of 4 back during international fireworks contest as I had the corner suite with big balcony and jaccuzzi shown in pictures before by a fellow BM and the girl I had taken before told me they wanted to party with me in my room[emoji7]

Nowadays I either go Hilton or Holiday Inn, if both booked I go to LK Empress which is a step down but been there so often that staff knows me well.
