I saw it on the US news this morning which also stated that Malaysia could soon follow.  Won't be long before the Issan farmers will be growing a new and very profitable crop.

I know that this is about medicinal marijuana but be careful what you post guys, I would draw your attention to Rule 16.

16. The topic or the promotion of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited.

Just a thought, but given yesterday's law change, maybe for the purposes of this forum and Thailand in general, shouldn't marijuana be removed from the illicit drugs category, and put in the prescription medicine category?

No, the intent of Rule 16 stands and only medicinal applications of this substance are now legalised. All other use (abuse) remains illegal and so Rule 16 applies. I will echo BM Jebb's post above. Comment about the news and about the legal aspects of medicinal marijuana but do not stray into discussion of illicit forms. Any who do so after these friendly hints may find Jenny accommodating.
