Hotel Reccomends - Don't have to meet guest in Lobby.

Looking to head back to Patts in April for Songkran. Sounds like a fun time to check out. If for any reason you think it's a bad time to go. Open ears.

Anyways.. have a few specifics wondering if you guys can help narrow it down. I've been looking and the meet at the lobby thing doesn't seem to be well documented. From my limited research anyways.

- Pool (with bar would be nice)if no bar are they generally ok with you bringing beers by the pool?

- 18+ friendly

- somewhat central

- does not require you to goto lobby to let girls in. I don't mind the ID thing. I just hate having to go down and bring them up.

Budget 1500

Thanks in advance!

Most hotels will ring your room and tell you that you have a visitor in lobby then you just tell them to send her up.

I'm pretty sure that Areca makes you come to reception to sign a disclaimer form before she can go to room. -

As Gazman mentioned, it's my experience as well that most hotels will ring you up to let you know you have a visitor and will send them up to your room if you give the go ahead.  Obviously, you'll need to give the girl your room number before she arrives.

Songkran can be fun, especially if you're younger and enjoy the water fights.  Otherwise you might find it bit annoying at times being constantly wet as soon as you step out into the street.

If you want a better experience with your "date"... read, learn, live the following:

Yes I don't mind the call. Thats fine. I'm all for the security. It's just making you go down to get them etc. Yes I am younger. So Songkran experience seems like it would be fun. At least try it out once. Areca was looking to be my first choice. But I saw it mentioned somewhere else that it was mandatory to come down .

I’m an old f*cker and I absolutely hate Songkhran.... maybe 7 days and nights of getting soaking wet with dirty street water appeals to younger folks, so I guess to each his own.

Also bear in mind that Songkhran is a special time in the Thai calendar and that a large percentage of the Thai population who work away from their home province will return for the holiday period - ie many girls will head back home to Issan that week.

That’s a pain in the ass, one of the reason of don’t stay at Areca.

Living sober, clean and staying away from loose women doesn't make a man live any longer. It just fucking feels like it.

Hmm ok.. good to know. Maybe I'll bump my trip a week back. I mean the water sounds fun.. but, that's not really what I'm there for haha. That being said. Any suggestions in hotels? Haha

Yeah. It's kind of a deal breaker for me. I stayed at Tweet Tweet on my last trip. Not a terrible hotel. But the run down to the reception was annoying enough for me to make it a thing to look out for on my next trip.

hotel with pool bar suggestions -

Centara Azure - close to LK Metro nightlife, classy and modern, though small rooms, nice pool with bar (around 1,800pn).

Travelodge - next to Centara Azure, again very modern small rooms, but with rooftop pool and bar (around 1,000THB).

Centara Nova Spa - my personal favorite, it’s on soi AR (7 minutes walk from soi 6). Classy 4 star hotel with the best swim-upbar in town (around 1,200THB). (Pictured below).

Yes Travelodge is very nice and cheap, but you require to go to the lobby and escort your guest up. The lifts are now key card operated. Only lobby to roof does not need a key card.

Like everyone is saying a lot of hotels call you and tell you that you have a guest. So thats easy part the difficult part is most have a 20 and over in age joiner policy.

I enjoyed my stay at Acqua hotel, realy nice roof pool, they have a bar a few steps down from the pool. I stayed in May and paid 50usd a night. Small rooms, comfortable bed.

intimate hotel by Tim has a nice roof top pool and a swim up bar. Can't take any food or drink up with you. Large room, large but hard bed. Last October I paid $48 a night.

Page 10 never tried the rooftop pool but they were great help at the front desk. I had a girl that I know from before forget her ID so they called me to come down and sign a waiver. Other wise they call and send the girl up. Big room, big bathroom ok bed. Summer 2017 paid $45 a night.

All 4 hotels I mentioned gave me 2 key cards. Kept the ac on and always got back to a cooled off room.

20 and over isn't really a deal breaker for me. But would be nice to have the option if it came up. But whatever.  I will look into those thanks.

Prob going adjust my dates to mis March.

No decent hotel is going to let people wander in off the street into the hotel proper. Security is for a reason, gotta keep the riffraff out.

Really depends on what you look like. I've actually walked into many hotels I didnt have a room in and spent some hours at the pool. If it looks like you belong, staff won't question you walking in.

Great way for checking out the facilities of a hotel you consider for the future.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I've done some more digging. Adjusted my expectations a bit.

Seems like D hotel and 247 Boutique are quite well reviewed on this site.

Thoughts?

I think both dont require you to meet the girl at the lobby. 18+ friendly.. and have a rooftop pool. No bar but that's fine.

From what i understand locations are both great.

I have reviewed 24/7 a couple of times, as has @Garzan, this is a very good hotel for the money. Great location, nice rooms, decent rooftop pool, tasty breakfasts and guest friendly.

Two mutually exclusive terms: Pattaya Songkran and "a fun time".

best way to catch infections through the dirty swamp water they use , everyone aims their water guns ect at your eyes and ears when giving you a hit with the water . all sorts of diseases can be caught through this practise . ears and eyes no good !

i gave up going years ago , also it is supposed to stop at around 6pm but never does and if you have been at it all day then grab a filly to take out for dinner , you go to room shower , get changed and as soon as you step outside your hit with buckets of water !! not a good feeling . but up to you . 7 days of mayhem

That’s the reason I stopped staying at Areca Lodge, had to go down and even escort a massage girl.

Try KTK Royal Residence. I've stayed there last time and the hotel is a bomb for it price!

If you book Grand Superiour Room the room is on the second building that you can access without going through reception to get into your room.
