New arrival form field - extending stay

The new immigration arrival forms (TM6) has a field for how many days you will be staying. I filled in 7 days, as that was my plan on arrival. Since then, I have extended my stay by another week. So when I depart, I will have stayed 14 days. My stamps run to October 2, so well within the 30 day period.

Do I have to notify immigration..? I am thinking it does not matter as long as I am not overstaying the stamped date, but I don’t want to risk any issues.

You'll have no problems.  People have reported even overstaying the date on the stamp by a few days and just been waved past immigration.  The days that you think you'll be staying doesn't matter as long as you don't stay past the date on the stamp.  Have fun!
