Exchange DTAC sim for nano version at airport booth?

Recommended Posts

I have a Thai phone number that Ive kept active for the last few visits (DTAC sim) and have changed my phone since the last trip. I now need a nano sim for my new phone. Back home an operator shop  swapped the sim out immediately for me free of charge no problem. I'd prefer not to go to the hassle of cutting down the existing DTAC sim.

Will the booth at the airport exchange my current sim for a nano version or must I go to one of their downtown shops? Anyone done something similar at the airport?

Duh! My bad.

Never having seen the SIM in my old phone, I didn't realise that the nano just pops out of the micro and Robert is your auntie's brother.

The girl at the DTAC desk in Swampy was remarkably patient with my stupidity and swapped the SIM into my new phone for me pronto. I recharged my account with some Baht at the desk and chose a data package for my stay which she organised to cancel on departure so that the weekly automatic renewal would cancel at that time. Up and data running in a couple of minutes.

Sweet.
