Work visa for a lao Girl

Maybe you guys can help. My "girlfriend" she is from Laos. She stay in Pattaya. Today she told me that she go to Laos to make a work visa for Thailand. She want by a shop. She said she go next week and only have to wait 2 weeks than she have a work visa for 1 year and can buy a shop on her name.

I think she lie? Thought only Thai people can buy Property on there name.

Maybe someone knows better than me and can help me. Thanks

Are you sure she means "buy a shop", meaning the building?

Lots of people here "buy a bar " for a few baht, and once a year someone asks if it includes the building.

err no that is 1000x more.

Even in Issan a shophouse building will be in the millions of baht.

suspect something is being lost in translation, no blame apportioned.

She told me she want buy a laundry shop for 320 000 Baht.

What i not believe is that she can have visa for work without having a shop now.

Thought only Thai people can buy on there name
