Tenants trash 10 million baht condo, vanish without a trace

Pattaya-

Above are the horrific photos, posted on Facebook from user Jindaporn Ao Amam, a stated friend of the landlord who seeked to make it go viral.

She states that the landlord rented this condo, said to be worth 10 million baht, to a foreign lady with two daughters for 30,000 baht a month. They rented the condo for roughly two years and had always been timely with the rent and according to other tenants quiet.

However, recently, all contact ceased and the rental checks stopped coming. When the owner went to investigate this is the condition the apartment was left in. Additionally, the toilet was shattered and kitchen torn apart and several items, like a television and stereo system, stolen.

The landlord has passed on the passport information of the tenants to the Thai police who hope to hunt them down, however, stated that they believe they have left the country but will be blacklisted from returning.

Mmm,

My guess is they left to go home and gave the key to one of the Thai BF's.

You're here now where you should have been all along.

Having done many a clean up and repair for landlords after tenants have vacated I cannot say I'm surprised. Young women are some of the worst offenders when it comes to trashing rented abodes. Hair dye on the lino, walls, etc greasy, filthy kitchens, blocked sinks, broken furniture, bloody big holes in walls and doors from attempting to hang pictures or asshole boyfriends, etc. They will often even decide to paint the walls some garish colour and end up getting it all over the skirts and floor, bloody nightmare to clean up after..

The bad side of being a landlord , can be very expensive .

Saw that on social media.
Maybe I didn’t look at the photos closely enough, but it just looked like a pig sty to me - not much that a couple of hours of solid cleaning by a cleaning crew couldn’t fix.

Yes I've heard that and have a couple of friends who will not rent property to women at all!

I agree that young females can be bad tenants, but in this case, the female tenants were quiet, so neighboring tenants did not suffer, and only the landlord suffered the financial consequences.

But not so in my case.  I live on the east coast USA and in Oct 2016, two young female renters (ages 25-30) moved next door and they have been nothing but problems.  A few months later, another tenant living here for 4+ yrs moved out because of their late night outdoor parties.  In Mar 2018, they stopped paying rent and a court date was set for 9Apr, then a final eviction notice was posted on 11May after the landlord prevailed in court.  I have submitted 13+ complaints but the landlord does not care about problems, only cares if he does not get his rent money.  The landlord is out +2 months rent and must bring in a crew of 10-12 movers to evict because they are not giving up possession of the TH.  The females brought a U-haul truck on moved most of their furniture out 2 weeks ago and a week later another truck came by and moved a sofa out.  Now, they are just remaining in the TH w/no other place to go and waiting to be forcibly evicted by the landlord and Sheriff.  They got a week reprieve since it was raining all last week and the Sheriff does not evict when it is raining/snowing.  These two females know how to play the game, and got 2+ months free rent and are not give up possession of the property until they are forced to do so.  Hopefully this will teach the landlord a costly lesson to better screen his tenants.  This is 2nd of 6 tenants that this landlord had to evict since he purchased the unit in 2010.
