Building in Thailand

Recommended Posts

I have a lady friend in sutuk near buriram.

She does not want to be in pattaya any more and now wants to sell BBQ from home with view of expanding to sell beer as well. She wants a basic shelter outside for when it rains.

soo we need a concrete block 6x5 metres 50 to 75 think.  (price per sq metre)

4 steel supports and timbers for roof support.

Zinc sheets (what sixes are available as this will determine build size)

May even enclose two sides so blocks laid per sq metre.

what do i need to know about planning laws, drainage, wind trends, etc etc. completely new to this in Thailand so point me in right direction.

are there any building companies that have websites in English?

There a building supply store in Buriram called Rueannsangthai owned by a Thai guy named Pichai. He has one or two farang employees there who may be able to help you.  I believe the one named Bob actually lives in Satuek, or at least he did a few years back when his wife and I had the same language teacher.  He may be able to give you guidance on a local builder.
