Malaysian Airlines have just announced a very good Business Class fare ex Bangkok that may well appeal to UK expats. With availability until March 2019 the fare is £1238/$1677/ TB52990. You need to move pretty sharpish though as last day to book is May 6th. Thanks to Loyalty Lobby for the tip. 

It's probably worth expats of all nationalities signing up for Malaysian fare alerts as they seem to have regular offers in Business class Ex Bangkok throughout the year

I couldnt get it to that price , maybe its gone already . i looked, nov , dec and feb.

I still see plenty of availability for a total of 53,000B return, including taxes. Today is supposed to be the last day though.

Shame one cant book beyond April 2019 as otherwise I would have bought a ticket for next summer.

Malaysia have been running this price for a while. I used it 6 months ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it continues. Both ways, flights weren't full (A380). But they seem to be doing better now, made route changes, so maybe the time limit is a bit more fixed.

Its a long routing thats the trouble back to uk. I've flown Malaysian 2 hours 15 down to KL and then it was 14 hours 5 minutes back to London. Never again

I was looking for a one-way cattle class ticket BKK to LHR. Malysian were far and away the cheapest at around £270. I ended up booking Oman Air though (£34) as I have a silver Sinbad card and so can use their business class lounges at Swampy and during the stopover in the new terminal at Muscat.

Fair point, I have to connect out if Cambodia either in BKK or KL, so didn't consider that extra couple of hours or transit time.
