Long distance taxi from Suvarnabhumi

Featured Replies

I'm looking to book a car/taxi from the airport to Chaiyaphum, 360km ish.

Have thought about trying to book a grabcar anyone any experience of this?

Alternatively anyone got a contact for a  reliable driver or company that would be interested in this fare.

I'm thinking for a reasonable car the cost might be about 3000 baht.

I could get a cab to Mo Chit and get the bus for about 1000 for two people but that would probably be two hours longer.

Any help is welcome but the first person to answer Mr T will feel my wrath.

This is for 25th of May for about a 10:30 am pick up.

You could try this chap. 096 8639240

He is Pattaya based, so you may have to pay for a 'dead leg' to BKK, but he is good reliable and a nice chap.  We have used him for long journeys, from Patts to Udon, if he can get a  fare to BKK from Patts that coincides you won't have to pay the dead leg.  It may be worth a call.  Sorry, I don't have an e mail for him.

Thanks for that but to be honest I'm trying to avoid pattaya based drivers as like you say there's a possibility of them doing 250 km round trip extra.

I have found the VIP buses cheap and super comfortable.  And safer than a taxi.  Bus was about 350baht each.

I have used this company many times .  Great service.

Thanks but maybe a little out of the price range I was thinking of.

Yes this is my fall back option.

Nahkonchai Air, Sun Bus and Tien Chai all run VIP buses on this route  but I'm just hoping to get there a bit quicker and after getting off a twelve hour flight that's important to me.

I could have used siamtaxi.com as they did this trip for me before in a Innova for five people at 3800 baht but the driver was one hour late and you don't get two chances with me.

Found a website called gettransfer.com but they just came back with stupid quotes.

Fortunately Mrs Thinkingallowed is in Bangkok at the moment and has found a driver willing to take her from downtown to the Airport and then off to Chaiyaphum for 3500 which seems good value to me.

If he speaks English I'll get his details and post them.
