I think the TCL has a 3 year warranty in Power Buy 3rd floor Central Festival

The LG has 1 year

warranty is only as good as the company backing it... long warranty means nothing if not honored or making it inconvenient to service e.g. ship to service center at your cost, etc... good luck with warranties in thailand... I know big c says talk to the manufacturer... lol

Still in the process of choosing a new TV, and I think that 40" is way too small to enjoy a 4K movie.

My starting idea was for a 42/43", but after several visit in TV sale halls, I am looking now for no less that 49/50"

13'291 B for a 50" 4k TCL TV at PowerBuy too.

A rather ridiculously low price when you think about what this TV is and do!

That's one of reasons why I am looking for my TV at the big PowerBuy on Pattaya Klang. They have their own reparation center/studio in the back of the shop, and if it's a too serious failure they will send themselves the device to the constructor reparation center.

I think Numchai proceeds the same way, good, but I would avoid BigC & Tesco Lotus.

So...after a few months....where are we on the TCL....or did anyone tried Hisense?

I got the TCL 43 Smart TV in April  (10.000 baht) and am very pleased with it. Picture excellent and sound more than enough.

I play a lot of music downloaded from Youtube to a USB and normally never go above the lower 25%

And i have Setanta Sports and other sports programs.

Have a LG 43" in the lounge and a 29" TCL which i use for movies/computer use. Both are fine and would recommend either. TCL was a steal at 3800 bht at MAKRO.

I brought a 49 inch LG Smart TV few weeks ago at Powerbuy for the condo I'm renting. The previous was an old Toshiba with a horrible picture. I love the LG.

TCL have just built a brand new factory so they would assume they have the latest and best technology .. the TCL units are in an aluminium frame .. and the 3 year warranty is important on these modern TV's .. you will hear many stories of the screen breaking and a huge repair bill.. this new technology is great , but its not a strong or robust as the old stuff.. you need the warranty
