LHR - Premium Flight Service?

Featured Replies

Q: Is there a Heathrow equivalent of BFS Premium Flight Service?

Context:  Thai pal & wife plan to attend daughter's unie graduation ceremony at Oxford this summer. He's in his 70s, fit but can only walk, slowly, with sticks.  That makes the long walk from the gate at T2 to immigration and then queuing at immigration very awkward for him.  So something like the Swampy service - trolley to immigration, fast-track once there is what he's after.

Tried Googling, but didn't find anything that fits the bill.

Thanks in advance.

I think there is, I remember reading about such a service a couple of years ago but cant remember the details other than it was expensive, several hundred pounds if I remember correctly. It was a much higher spec service than BFS though

He should just tell the airline he needs assistance.

A wheelchair will meet him at the door of the plane and take him up the ramp to a buggy. The buggy will take him to Immigration - though it may go to other gates to collect other people first.

After Immigration he’ll then need to wait for another wheelchair to take him to baggage claim and out to his taxi.

They’ll do similar on departure.

It can involve a lot of hanging around but it is free.
