Jomtien-

This morning, April 14th 2018 at about 9:30AM a Russian man, suspected to be Mr. Nikolay Rybalov, robbed a currency exchange located at Jomtien Beach. He waited for a female employee to bring in change and brutally assaulted her, landing over a dozen punches to her head before fleeing with the bag of money. The bag of money contained roughly 1 million baht.

He was quickly identified based on the fact that despite wearing  a mask he did not cover up his arm tattoos and his license plate on his motorbike, registered to him, which he drove away was captured on video.

Thai police managed to track him down and arrest him with charges pending. Mr. Rybalov is claiming it was not him in the video, despite having the exact same tattoos and CCtv showing a person who resembles him riding off on his registered motorbike..

The assaulted employee is recovering in the hospital with several injuries. Police will prosecuting him to the fullest extent of the law.

There will be some justice meted out long before he reaches trial.  What a scumbag.  Beating up a girl for about $30K US.

After watching that video, what ever they do to him in custody won’t be anywhere near enough, what a nasty piece of shit!!

Glad he'll be dealing with Thai justice......if that happened in the US it would drag out for years!

Poor girl. Being Russian he'll deny it all, they're taught that in school early on

I hope the girl makes a speedy recovery and the Russian gets his just deserves?

What i would add is fancy not covering up your tattoo’s and using a get away bike that was registered to yourself and thinking no CCTV?  

Obviously not very bright at all but sure he will have plenty of time to regret at the Bangkok Hilton.

He thought he'd be out the country before they could catch him. He was caught at the airport with the exact amount of stolen money and his bike parked there. He still denies his crime and is refusing to speak to the interpreter.

I hope this bastard rots in a stinking Thai prison for enough years to finish him off.

I really hope he ends up in Bang Kwan for a very long time.  Too bad they no longer play that human elephant ball game as described in "The Damage Done".

Well done to the Thai police for catching him before he escaped the country. Hope he gets everything he deserves.

Very rarely I get angry watching videos, but this made my blood boil. First of all I hope that poor women recovers quickly, and the piece of shit gets everything that's coming to him in spades 

I am surprised more of these money exchanges dont get robbed.

They have millions of baht in them with a flimsy locked door for security and generally staffed by 1 girl.

How could this be, when there's no evidence of violence or brutality in the Russian national character throughout history ?

Its very strange, but a fairly large amount of the cash has disappeared, its claimed the Russian had spent it the BIB proclaimed. 

I hope that the guards will play that video to a shitload of Thai prisoners.

The cops took it, but the court will probably make him "the Russian" pay it back.  In my view the theft is the small crime, the attack on a much smaller woman is the crime that should send this guy to jail/hell for a few years.

If this was Germany, The USA, the UK or Norway I would be inclined to think the cops stole it. In Thailand however It’s more likely the BIB would spring from their retirement founds to cover what the Exchange Booth was out of pocket. 

From the pics it looks like a few thousand B and a few houndred $ was recovered. 

The Russian ( going straight from the robbery, home, than the airport ) most have blown the take on a KFC roadside stop on his way out of the country! 

Those flights can be a hassle on an empty stomach.
