St Patricks Day?

Featured Replies

Just got in town and catching up on the forums and noticed there isn't anything going on for St Patrick's day (next Sat) or did I miss a post somewhere? Just curious...

I have never seen it celebrated in Thailand, but who knows, a new trend could be started.

I know that LePub has Irish Coffee as well as Irish Whisky, might give that a try.

No beach road parade this year?!

Exactly. Could have sworn in previous years something was going on, either parties, parade, or a themed crawl. Oh well, not like I need a special day to drink tequila and have fun, even better when your bling'd out in green though :)

I was told there is a parade this year, same as previous years. Starts 4pm Alcazar. Can buy green shirts, hats etc nearby from around 1pm.

Well I got my green shirt and some bling for nightly events if anyone whos in town wants to meet up for a Walking Street "Drinking in Green" fest.

Try LK Metro , Murphy Law pub and Kilkenny Bar . They do celebrate every year .

There is a Parade down beach road . It’s been going on for a few years

Apparently it already happened here.

It must have been held during daylight hours, that's why I missed it

I think it was held at 2pm last year, it was good fun, lots of good natured banter and it was different for me to have a St Patrick's day in warm weather. It should be good this year with Ireland playing England in a rugby grand slam decider on Saturday too,  They sell t-shirts to support the Fr Ray foundation, I got mine in the Metro bar on LK Metro last year.

Just checked and the parade starts at Alcazar at 4pm this year.

In the States I remember that we were told to never wear orange on St. Patrick's day but never knew why. I guess I was too young to understand religious bigotry on both sides. LOL

Biggest damn  leprechaun I have ever seen.

I guess that's what Irish Whisky will do to you.
