2017 BMW G 310 GS

I’ve been very curious about the new  BMW 310 GS Adventure so checked them out at German Motors in BangNa. Impressive BMW showroom with a ton of bikes displayed along with their Mini Coopers and BMW autos.

Suspected the 310 GS would be smallish bike like the Duke 390, sized for the Asian riders but I was wrong.  A fairly large bike that the  6’ plus rider will fell very comfortable.

What a deal at the price of 219,000BT.

Cheers for the update, what engine is in it?

I had a F800S for years and loved the parallel twin engine though it was flakey.

Cant see them making a Boxer engine that size :)

Guessing one of their scooter engines maybe?

Don't know how true it is, but I heard recently from a BMW owner that BMW here don't know how to set uo and maintain the bikes.  He said they are just too comlex for the mechanics here.  He has had huge problems with his new one and has decided  to move on to KTM.

Single-Cylinder Engine

The centerpiece of the new BMW G 310 R is a completely newly developed 313 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves and two overhead camshafts together with electronic fuel injection.

The striking feature of the engine is its backward-tilted cylinder in open-deck design with the cylinder head turned by 180 degrees, making it possible to position the intake tract at the front, viewed in the direction of travel.

With an output of 25 kW (34 hp) at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm,

With the recent sales boom of BMW cars and bikes, the company should be concentrating on after sales service.

Who knows?

BMW Group Thailand is celebrating what it has called “yet another historic achievement” with 11,030 BMW and Mini vehicles delivered to customers from January to December 2017, an increase of 39 per cent year-on-year and the first 5-digit sales figure in the company’s history.

In a press statement, the company said BMW Thailand posted the highest growth rate across BMW’s global network at 43 per cent year-on-year.

“Starting in 2018, BMW Group Thailand achieved the best-ever January with 816 BMW and Mini deliveries, representing a 10 per cent increase year-on-year. BMW Motorrad also achieved a 36 per cent increase in sales year-on-year with a total of 150 BMW Motorcycles delivered in January,” the company said.

Designed in Europe, manufactured in India, as is the KTM 390.

Every hole a goal.

Condoms kill boners. Save the boners.

Stop the Vagilantes.
