Moto Taxi's

Featured Replies

Coming up on approx 20th trip to pattaya and one thing I have never figured out are the supposed motosai fares. I've been charged all kinds of numbers. I would like to know how much it should be from...

the bus station to Soi Buakhow/Diana area.

between soi 7/8 to Soi Buakhow/Diana area.

Made in Thailand complex area to Walking Street

All I can contribute is that they charge by the passenger and not buy the bike. So if it’s 50 baht trip and two people get on the one bike it’s 50 each

Not sure about the bus station but the other 2 routes should be around 30-50 baht.  Suggest you take your lowest fare to date and tell the driver up front that is what you're prepared to pay.

my guess is bus station (Nua- remember there are many others but Nua is the normal one) 100 baht, the other 2 i will go with 50.

Surprisingly thai girls pay the same, despite weighing half as much, speaking the lingo, having little gear, so much for the ferrang tax. OK if the girl uses the same every day she gets a deal.

Last taxi i took was quick, checked the speedo, we never hit 50k/hr usually 40. down 2nd and up Thappraya, please remember that when you think 70 down soi buakhao is normal.

The first number named drives the negotiation, be the one coming up with it, true world wide.

Many of them bastards at the bus station are scammers. Avoid especially late at night. They wanted to charge me 100 Baht from bus station to Big C Pattaya Klang. I simply crossed the road to where Makro is and flagged down a moving one for 40 Baht. There is a big sign just outside Makro in both Thai and English with all the fares set out to all destinations in Pattaya. Soi Buakhao from memory is 50 to 60 Baht . Jomtien may well be 100 Baht

Talung66 posted a photo of these motosai rates from the Soi Buakhow/Diana area.  This motosai stand is across the Centara Azure Hotel on Soi 15 behind The Avenue shopping center (Soi Buakhow/Diana area) so the rates are from there to the various posted locations.  The posted 2017 motosai rates from this location show the rate from the motosai stand to the North Bus Station (80 baht) and Soi 7 (50 baht).
