So your beloved Thai lady runs off, leaving you alone in Isaan. Assuming you want to remain in Isaan, how do you find another Thai lady? Or, are you now persona non grata in that part of Isaan?

if the answer is you don’t want to stay in Isaan without your Thai GF, no need to answer.

i am just trying to figure out if there are replacements available.

Replacements?.....more like form an orderly queue. A mate of mine living in Issan got amicably divorced. He is early 50s and works overseas as a close-protection body guard. After his marital break-up he was fighting women off...settled down with an early 20s stunner who works in a bank.

Many Issan girls would love to be in a relationship with a farang.

Funny you should mention that. One gets a lot of attention when you have lots of money in a Thai Bank Account. I also set up a safety deposit box in a Thai Bank. The attention was unbelievable. What followed were numerous unannounced visits to our home in Isaan by female Bank staff members trying to sell ‘life insurance’. Went on for years.

Money talks. No doubt about that.

I am considering living for a while in a village in Sisaket without a Thai lady. Yeah, I know, no one has ever done that.

All the above helps, but even relatively impoverished and older falang can do ok up here in Issan. I know a falang aged 65, with a pension under 1,000GBP pm who is now living with his 29 year old (and quite tasty) golf caddy - in her house.
