Grrr grrr GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. After months of planning and plotting getting everything just about where I wanted and with less than two weeks to go, I have to postpone my trip:wacko::wacko:

I know typhoon season in the pacific is typically when our Summer is here in the states, so if I cant get everything rebooked for April, when do you guys think is the best time to reschedule my trip. I really dont wanna wait until Dec/Jan but I also don't want to have tropical rain for 90% of my stay. Help a brother out please. Suggestions?

I’ve been to Pattaya in April, August, November and March.  Anytime of year is fine.

It doesn’t rain inside bars or hotels.  Also it usually doesn’t rain all day...

Yep. It can pelt down for a bit, some occasional flooding but it all turns back to normal pretty quick.

Yeah I've done some mongering in the PI in June, September and August and although I'm not afraid of getting wet it does put a damper on the fun

Its very far from the Pacific to the Guld of Thailand and  typhoons shouldnt have any impact on mongering activities. It rains a bit from June to October but whats better than being only customer in a bar full of beauties waiting for the rain to stop

If you don't like getting wet you may want to consider avoiding Songkran during April.

Well it's not so much the getting wet as it is the rain cutting into my whoring. I've seen clips of the Songkran and that looks kinda fun (as long as they still wanna have a go)

How does it affect your whoring?  Every time I’ve dashed into a bar a bit wet from rain I’ve been accosted and suitably towelled  down by one or more girls with a handful of napkins...still can’t see any negative points.

If you’re worried.  Use one of these...

Sorry you had to cancel, shit happens! Just go as soon as you can, disregard the weather - bars have roofs and 7/11 sell umbrellas. Personally I'd go in May, it'll be dry and very hot. Good luck!

Next trip Aug 31-Sep13, theme: try more freelancers, get dirty! Note to self: TAKE MORE PHOTOS!!!

don't go during songkran

If the rainy weather is the factor. Go before September. September/October are the wettest months and it can bleed into November.

go for songkran

Are you referring to Pattaya or Philippines? Phils has typhoons but Thailand, and specifically Pattaya does not.

in rainy season it can pelt down for an hour or so, and flooding can be a pain the ass but both last a couple of hours only.

its not nice but i would certainly not put off a holiday because of it.

Maybe he’s thinking of monsoons and not typhoons.

I’ve been in pattaya during rainy season, in fact my next trip is June and I was there 2 years ago in June. I like Pattaya that time of year. Yes you’ll get some rain but it usually buckets down for a while, then stops. There is less tourists, so less men looking for women, so you get more of a choice of girls! Plus you’ll get good deals on hotels and you might even find, you can get girls a bit cheaper too.

Go when it fits into your life.  If you manage to find a bargain flight it leaves more to spend during your visit or your next trip.  I've never left with a sun tan.

I always visit Patts at the end of August / beginning of September,

I have never had an issue with the weather, Get the occasional shower but nothing to worry about,

Although last Sept one shower lasted a while and forced me to stay in soi 6 bars for an extra 2 hours!!

It was very tough but I did survive,
