Internal flights

Featured Replies

Without me having to go through a dummy run of the booking process can someone tell me which internal carriers (if any) DON'T charge extra fees for checking a bag in to the hold?

Im talking about the likes of Thai smile, Thai vietjet air, air Asia, Thai airways etc.

Cheers.

Are you not worried about the final price with all fees and add-ons?

Bangkok Airways do not charge extra for hold baggage.

Agree with above. They might seem more expensive than air Asia but air Asia has a lot of add ons

I work hard to support those on benefits! :Banghead2:

Well, not worried, but I suppose that's the gist of the query. A seemingly cheap flight may not end up being quite so cheap if I have to pay extra for baggage & seat reservations etc.

Not air has differing ticket prices with some including a baggage allowance.  Or you can just pay the basic fare and add your own baggage..it’s not really that difficult.

If you join the Bangkok Air program (free) you get an extra 5kg free too. Great airline.

You get what you pay for, roundabouts & airlines, Thai Airway include 20 Kg in the Smile Value and 30 Kg in Smile Plus.

ThaiSmile 20kg allowance plus free snack.....:GrinNod1:

Thanks for the replies.

As some have mentioned Bangkok airways have checked baggage included in their fares but I've ended up booking with vietjet air. It was only USD12 for a checked bag for a return trip from BKK to Chiangmai!

I had to add a checked bag to a Ryanair booking nearly 10 years ago & that was £30 for each leg.

Ive even splashed out USD 1.76 for a window seat near the front in the hope I might spot some decent scenery if we get a clear day.

Correct. That was the basis for my question
