Acqua Hotel - a Lottellee Winna Review

Featured Replies

Overview: I have a bit of a cheek writing a review of this hotel when I haven’t actually stayed there. My mate was staying here and I had breakfast, went swimming and had evening cocktails there for a week, plus he showed me around his room.  I also quizzed my mate about his stay. This hotel, is owned by the same people who own the other 3 honey hotels. It is brand new and is 4 star.

Location: in soi Honey (between second rd and soi Buhakow), great for Baht Buses to and from WS, plus just around the corner from LKMetro. I love the location, but do be prepared for running the daily gauntlet of ‘welcome sexy man’ from the massage shops the full length of the soi.

Room: smelled clean and felt fresh. An in room safe for added security, a small balcony, stocked fridge and free drinking water daily. Standard rooms are well equipped, attractive but are a little small. Larger rooms are available. Room tip - ask for a front facing room other wise, at the rear of hotel, you will be facing a half built building a couple of meters from your window. Like the sister 24/7 hotel, comforters are now on all the mattresses, nice touch guys! TV large flatscreen lots of channels. Great internet speed in room and throughout the hotel. Bathrooms have powerful walk-in shower. No noise at rear of hotel at night, but building work daytime; on the front of hotel, soi Honey is a bustling street but little noise after midnight. Sitting on your balcony you get a great cabaret watching the busloads of Indians hundreds every night, going into the Honey Soapy.

Cleanliness: Absolutely spotless. Every evening my mate would tell me that his room was immaculate, certainly the general standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is outstanding, (please guys consider leaving a 20thb on your pillow daily).
Facilities: The roof top bar in the main building is small but is really nice (reasonably priced too), they even served my fave Thai whisky Mekong. There is a much larger rooftop bar on the adjoining building- now it really is classy. They have gone for a really upscale look with beds and loungers. Very tasteful. (Warning - take great care at night in the larger bar, they use floor lighting which is way too bright, I nearly stumbled into one of their mini pools - the staff says happens all the time). Talking of swimming pools, the Aqua boasts a really nice rooftop pool, this and sauna area are generous in size with a great city view but do lack a little shade at this stage.
Breakfast:  was fantastic (I was staying at the PPlus hotel without breakfast,  and I got a free brekkie at the Aqua as my mates +1 :P). Breakfast at their sister hotels isn’t bad, but this is much better, so get up early and treat your tastebuds. Fruit, yoghurt and freshly made omelettes are my thing. They also have a machine to make coffee to order.
Customer Service: The front desk staff were outstanding,  helpful and efficient - check-in and out done in a  jiffy. The bar staff were very slow.

Cost: My buddy paid 2,100thb pn inc breakfast.

Overview: I really liked this hotel and will definitely consider staying here. In terms of ‘feel’, I would describe it as similar to the trendy and upmarket Malmaison brand they have in the UK. Now, if you like really big rooms, the Aqua might not be for you. I’m going to see what sort of deals I can get on this hotel...I really like it.

Excellent review, I assume no joiner fee. Regarding location, one can avoid the "sexy man gauntlet" by walking on the soi just north of Soi Honey if coming by 2nd Rd

Thanks for the information

I have been hoping someone would have something to say about it.

Figured they would be guest friendly but happy that it has been confirmed

Yes guest friendly mate - also very respectful to the girls.

The room I stayed in was tiny, reflected in the price.

Nice review. Looks really good. I sometimes treat myself to a nice room at Intimate Hotel, this looks a good alternative to try as well.

The standard rooms are 24sqm (about average for modern hotel rooms), the suites are 50+sqm. How much did you pay?

Pass our regards and thanks fir the reveiw on to your mate LW :P,........only kidding, all your hotel reveiws are appreciated, even when you have an helping hand!

Was looking at this hotel for one night before heading up to Khao Yao for 7 days Golf to avoid Songkran.

Th size of room with a golf bag has put me off. This I’m gonna try the centara azure you done a review on. Arrive at 10am so want a nice pool to chill at if I can’t get booked into early.

Excellent review, can anyone use the roof bar?

Great hotel review as always LW...Aqua looks great and will add this to my bookmarks for future holidays. Did your mate mention anything about the firmness of the bed? It doesn't appear, in the photo, to be a concrete slab mattress that makes it difficult for me to sleep well.

Yes mate the roof bar at Aqua is open to all.

You should enjoy Azure, I really liked it...be interested to know what price you pay?

What courses are you playing at Khao Yal. I love Khao Yai/Mission Hills, Bonanza and Rancho Charnavee.

The Aqua (like 24/7) put ‘comforters’ on top of the mattress, makes them much softer.

Mission hills, Panorama,Rancho and Khao Yai GC really looking forward to it. I’m hoping there is a few excursions I can do round the area on the 3/2 days of no golf;can you recommend anything?

Going with the golf club from LK nice group.

Azure 1643 bhat for the one evening, pretty happy with that. August suites when I return for my 13 nights.

1500b per night room only.  Here’s a few photos of my small room, maybe the square footage includes balcony and bathroom, very little storage space:

I believe it does, as the space for balconies and bathrooms is included in the total sq meters for condos.  If you think your room was small I saw an ad the other day for a condo that was only 20 sq meters.

Just for clarification, which side is the "front"? (the one with the better view) Is it the southern side looking across Honey Body Massage parking lot, or the northern side on that through soi between 2nd Road and Buakhao?

Stayed here recently myself and agree with LW's assessment, nice all round, but small. Just so you know, it's spelt Acqua if you're searching for it online.

If you mean front of the hotel where the reception is then this is adjacent to soi honey and looks to the back/side entrance to honey body massage 1.  Photo attached from rooftop looking towards honey.  My room was at the ‘back’ of the hotel and looked directly into the next building which was literally inches away.

Review very much appreciated.  I can see what you mean by the comparison with Malmaison. They also do a compact Double room which was great when i traveled alone but too small when i was with my partner.

I have to say that i don't like this trend towards ever smaller standard rooms in Pattaya. They are ok for a night or possibly a weekend but if i am staying for a week or more and plan to have guests then 30msq is an absolute minimum for me. On one of the booking sites standard rooms were listed as 23msq and "suites" at 46msq

Having said that i do like Soi Honey and the decor looks good so i will certainly consider The Aqua if i can get a decent price on their 46msq rooms. ( not going to call it a suite as 46msq is not a suite for me ).

Thanks once again for the review

Spot on review. I stayed there in January and really enjoyed it. Only thing I didn’t care for was the mattress was to hard.

They are girl friendly, in fact when my second lady that night stopped by the front desk called and said “your next lady here”. Laughed my ass off.

A great review and spot on.

I stayed here for 9 nights in March. Everything in top condition and very clean. Nice pool area and bars. Standard rooms are on the small size but very well appointed. The staff are the best. A couple have moved over from the sister hotel 247 Boutique.  Totally gf and in a perfect location.

Very friendly staff, helpful (and friendly with joiners, they call you when the guest leaves the hotel)

Nice little pool on the roof with bar from 8am to 8pm, sauna

I booked a standard room, with shower, nice design

P_20180318_111651.thumb.jpg.b845426f842fbbbf5f6162fd9347882c.jpg

Rain schower with a window open to anorther building. Hum hopefully there was a curtain (for respect for people in the other hotel :))

Just the cupboard is a bit small, ok for me but not for 2

And no place to open the luggage, or to store it out of the way

Safe is ok for tablett and 15" laptop

As i booked for 2 days, i think i will stay here but will look for a deluxe room, 29 m2 and bathtub

I was in pool this morning but a little storm get me out from the roof. A part in metal of the adjacent hotel was blown away !

The story of my first night ?  will come later :P

But all seems like in the videos i saw on internet, hotel, roads, ladies (same girls, same place haha)

Just the atmosphère is undescriptible

Lets see tognight. WS or Soi 6 ...

My first job tomorrow will be to find a escape way from the hotel

I cannot hear the word "massage" anymore :Party3:

Its true that if you get out on soi honey you understand only this word

And with ladyboys trying to catch you balls each time
