Will Aussie set top box work in LOS?

I have an Australian high definition digital set top box that I no longer need as I just bought a flat screen TV. I was going to toss the set top box out but my TGF asks if it will work in Thailand? So can any tech-minded BM tell us if it's worth taking this back to LOS or shall we just toss it in the trash.

Work for what? What do you want it to do? How do we know what it is? Brand and model number.

Some functions may work depending on what it is and some might not.
