Why would that matter?

Because if he is going is going up north to a girls village .. drive up day one stay a day then drive back , I would want more than 3 days rental money for all that

I have no problem with renters going anywhere in Thailand .. but I would want at lest a weeks rental money in 2,000km+ is being put on my truck

is that unfair ??

Yup

I don't think anyone else adds a surcharge if you're actually going to use it!!

So your quoted rates are for what if you want to go shopping at Makro?

Indeed

But the unfairness is that you quote a price then later in the thread declare that you host a Spanish Inquisition as to where it's going / what further payment you want.

If you want to portray fairness and transparency you should add a caveat to your rates with a mileage (kilometre) cap. Or heaven forbid some clear notification of what it is that your customers are paying for.

Indeed it's your car and your rules.

That said, I have no doubt your rules, and reply, will lose you customers.

I can't see anywhere in the thread where he states a daily or 3 day price?  Opening post quotes a monthly price only, indicating he is interested in long term hires.  Later he quotes someone a weekly price.  So actually he is quite within his rights to ask about usage on a short term deal so he can quote a fair price, considering short term deals aren't what he advertised.

Interesting that a mod even engaged in some threadfucking in the items for rent section where it is forbidden.
