Pattaya Money Exchange & Free ATM

Hi,

I will be staying near Walking Street, can anyone advise on the best place I could go to exchange my pounds?

Also are there any free ATM's or are they all chargeable now?

If there are free to use ATM's which ones and where could I find them?

I recall a few years back there was one.

Money exchange's all over the place bring large denomination clean undamaged notes. All ATM charge now 220 baht although heard they may be some 150 baht unless you have a card with no foreign charge's just use ATM for emergency back up.

None of the banks are open when I'm drunk in the middle of the night and run out of money.

T.T. Currency Exchange set the standard in Pattaya. They have many outlets.

 

Debit card at ATM not good. If you have certain credit cards you can use them to get a cash advance at a bank counter, avoiding the 220 baht fee. But only specialist travel credit cards make it worth the effort.

Slightly better rate available at the basement floor of BKK;

 

So change a few £50 notes at the SuperRich Thailand airport branch before leaving the airport.

Thanks so I'll keep a look out for TT in Pattaya.

As I will be landing in DMK airport, I don't think there will be a super rich there, so I will just change a little to get me by until I arrive in Pattaya via bus/taxi and then change more at TT.
