Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll be staying in early February so i'll be sure to post a review :D. Looking forward to being right in the middle of the action compared to my previous hotels (The corner lodge, barracuda guesthouse and D-Xpress)

I also uploaded a little map. If you follow the red path, it will lead you to Soi Diana. The connection between Buakaho 15 and Diana can be fucking scary at night when 5+ dogs come across you on that not really good lighting path.. but no risk, no fun :D If you follow the way along the yellow line, you will get to 2nd Road, you can directly go through The Avenue, even at night. A way better shortcut IMO. Oh and exactly where my GREAT MS Paint skill lines cross, the yellow and red one, there is a 7/11 :D

From the Baku location to Soi Diana; if you don't fancy walking along Soi Buakhao, or via the small unlit Soi from Soi 15 alongside the Areca Lodge, or all the way down to 2nd Road, then there are alternatives.

The easiest way from Soi 15 to Diana is to just cut through Centara, through reception, past the swimming pool in the centre and out past Centra by Centara at the other side through a small soi. You come out in the middle of Soi Diana, opposite the Guardian Pharmacy, between LK Metro and Areca Lodge. Alternatively, just walk through the Evergreen/Areca complex past the pools. No one cares, just walk like you own the place. I've done both many, many times.

Baku Guesthouse comes in 3 different sections, all 20 seconds walk apart. Baku 2 is the one next door to Baby Boom.

Comes in 3 sections?

Are all the rooms the same as advertised on the site?

Dont want to end up being palmed off with something that isn't remotely the same as the pictures on their site.

When you scroll down a bit here: http://baku-th.com/rooms/ you will see the "big" difference between Baku 1 and 2  The only "big" difference is the location, as roger buttmore already stated, one of the guesthouses is directly next to Baby Boom Agogo and the other is a bit down the street, nearer to Soi Booooooh-Cow.

From what I remember there is no reception.  The office was next to Baku 2 I think.  You just get a card to let yourself in.  The toilet is the other side of the shower but the shower is huge and doesn’t cause a problem.

I like that they take Visa and Mastercard and others, I can pay on my card and have more budget for other pleasures :)

I made enquiry's about the longer term rates via email at boomerang and there rates are far better than Baku. I also think Boomerang just had a special on which was only 800bht a night all in.

Now that nature view confirmed you can use the pool. For my end of April/May trip im gonna try and get one of the three top Boomerang rooms or use Baku.

First time using a guesthouse however let’s be honest these aren’t your typical guest houses.

I checked Baku for long term and it is 25,000 per month.

Yeah that’s a good shout too but always seems fully booked when I check.

Hideaway is very popular hence why they charge more than the boomerang and Baku.

Whats the pool like at the Nature View is it better than the couple at the Vogue? Having a pool close by is perfect for myself as I like a dip after golf in the afternoon. Not having a pool has previously put me off guesthouses however not now with one so close that can be used for 100 bhat.

Joe - If you are looking for a guesthouse near Vouge on soi Lenkee (for use of their pool) I can thoroughly recommend The Haven. It's a few doors down from Retox and right next to Vougue. It is a fabulous guesthouse (and golfer friendly too!)...well worth considering.

Lottelle, I looked at the haven before however I wasn’t sure how big the room was. Now I don’t need a huge room but about 35-42square meter as I have my clubs and like some room for a couch or a seat. Play out the golf club in LK Metro so it’s just a short walk. I may well just use your recommendation if the rooms are big enough.

Btw they do a lovely breakfast

I have stayed in the King Room when it was "La Cerise", the room is a really nice size but not near to the size of the room at Baku, judging by the pic in the OP. No couch/sofa either (LLW can correct me if I'm wrong).

The location is fractionally better IMO, but I wouldn't choose accommodation based on the proximity to a pool that you may not use too often.

PS: Nature View hotel swimming pool:

(terrible camera work)

Perfect pool for a dip late afternoon. Spot on about the terrible camera work.

Yes mate, the King rooms are a decent size in the Haven.

Stayed two nights a couple of weeks back and have to say by far the best room I have stayed in bar none, great friendly welcome, great location and nice big room exactly as shown in pictures.

The room I stayed in was at the back of The Garden guesthouse which I also ended up staying in as Baku was fully booked.

This is going to be a popular one.

looks good. is it girlfriendly?

It's a guesthouse, you don't go through reception so no need to announce your comings and goings.

In saying that one needs to respect the other guests and the property itself...
