Hey guys, has anyone stayed at 247 boutique recently? I have read one review on TripAdvisor I think that mentions construction taking place adjacent to the hotel which is very noisey from early morning. Can anyone confirm or deny? If that's the case it's a deal breaker for me.

Hi Mate and welcome to the Board. The search function is well worth using - so many topics already covered.

24/7 is a very good hotel (best on soi honey). Nice rooms. little noise - you can of course request high floor and rear facing room for all but complete silence. Nice rooftop pool and guest friendly. The breakfasts are served across the road at H Boutique hotel - tasty omelettes. The omly complaint was that the beds were too hard - this has been resolved as all beds now covered with extra 'topper' mattress.

Thanks for the reply.... I did use the search function but didn't find anything relating to construction  noise mentioned.

The construction is compete now - so shouldn't be any issues.

Just stayed there earlier this month for 7 days. There was a little construction noise but didn't bother me a bit.

Beds used to be hard, but very comfy now.

I stayed there the week before last, didn't hear any noise. Then again I only managed to average 3 or 4 hours of sleep per day and during those hours I was dead to the world. :)

i stayed in one of their mini suites and have no complaints. The only slight annoyance was that I had to keep re logging into the wireless network. It wasn't able to re establish connection automaticaly.

It's a separate shower next to the bathtub. Shower is big enough to fit 3 people comfortably. :)

it it all glass so you can watch your BG get clean from the lounge.....but there are privacy blinds if she's shy. :)

I have now stayed at 247 on a number of occasions and find little to complain about. Previously I have always requested a room on a high floor at the rear of the hotel. I departed a little over a month ago. The hotel referred to is pretty well advanced in construction with fitting out more than building taking place. The pool is good but shade a bit difficult if you require it. Ask at reception for towels for the pool although friends have told me they are available in the pool area ( which I did not see during low season). I must admit I found more noise coming from soi Honey itself  as opposed to any building work this time but I could live with that. It's a nice change from the morgue type locality where I currently live.

One frustrating feature at this place though is the constant need to re log into the wifi. Apparently management believe they have too many leachers using their wifi. Note staff change the log in password on a weekly basis, I think the  Wednesday, but don't bother to tell you so if you cannot log in ask at reception,  that is the likely cause. Also separate passwords for separate floors and entirely different for restaurant/breakfast location  over the road.

hotel is in a good position and guest friendly without complications. More expensive if you bring back more than one companion for the night, I believe, but cannot comment from experience.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Great to know the construction noise is no longer an issue. I can see how logging on to the wifi network whenever returning to the room can be annoying, but once connected is the service reliable with a strong signal? What about the shower? is it a strong shower, which would be preferable  to one of those that sort of dribble down on you? Im looking at booking my accommodation in the next few days so all input is very welcome.

ps: sorry for the late reply here. as no one quoted me i didnt get any notifications to remind me of this post. Its very easy to veer of into many directions when you are new around here and get distracted by all the older posts from the past.

cheers,

bane.

The shower is great, has two heads, very strong, only needed it on half.

the Internet was fine while connected but as I said it disconnects as soon as you are out of range and sometimes when phone goes to sleep. So there was a lot of re logging in.

my mini suite had a desktop pc but internet on the pc was slow, phone was fine. They allow you to connect 2 devices. They seem to be a little too paranoid about their internet. :)

Having grown up in the city (Chicago) I can't sleep without a little noise.

Great hotel in a good position,  mini suites are well worth the extra cost, large bathroom with separate shower and bath.  Breakfast is across the street, the egg guy is a bit scary.

I left it too late... mini suites are all gone! Any suggestions guys? I need to book something as soon as I can.

thanks.

555 The egg guy is good-after a day or two he knows what you like. But yes he does take his job very seriously.
