What's the worst thing that's ever happened you in Pattaya or Thailand in general?

I think I have been fortunate.

I remember going to Koh Larn when the first Wednesday umbrella bans occurred.  Bloody horrid sitting on the hot sand.

then there was the time an absolutely lovely lady I met, drank with utterly clicked with at RollinLive on Soi8 and had a great dinner with ...wouldn’t spend the night because I was a good man and she didn’t want to mess up my life.   Learning...don’t talk too much about your family.  Damn, she was the ONE.

So you sit with a fabulous woman and talk about your family?.

You deserve to miss out

Had my wallet stolen last trip (April). Couldn't work out whether taken from my room safe, or from my bag on a side trip to Koh Samed.

It was my Aussie wallet, only contained about $250, but ALL my cards, that was such a hassle to get them replaced!

Lesson learned, why take them to Thailand in the first place? Next trip, Thai wallet only.

Anyhow, if this was the worst thing to happen in 70-odd trips, I'm doin' okay.

There's no such thing as free pussy!

Why take them....back up if you overspend, or emergencies, i take my cards but never out with me, i leave them in the safe. Its very very rare i use them nowadays, but its just nice to know if you need a sudden cash injection its there.

Luckily the worst thing that has happened to me is that very occasionally I get a bad dose of diarrhea whilst in Pattaya that keeps me in my hotel room for a couple of days.  It very really happens but it does happen and its no fun

I get the powdered Fibre stuff called Muscillin and mix it into water. It works for me when diet changes in Thailand and you get that feeling like leaving your room is a mistake. Lol

For a real emergency it's that otc med to stop diarhea. I always forget the name!

My other mate swears by Berocca. Dissolves it in a 500ml bottle and downs it after a big night. I tried it once not bad.

It is such a non issue, but it was the only thing that comes to mine. Myself and another board member took a couple girls we met at Insomnia to get some food and one of the girls new I didn't like spicy food and had me try hers. It was so spicy that I was gasping and my eyes were watering for 10 - 20 minutes. We all thought it was funny, but god damn thai food can get spicy.

Pack of dogs chased me and I got bit. Had to get rabies shots to ensure I didn't die just because I decided to go to Thailand to monger.

Also when my trip ended, had the blues for about a month and was constantly thinking about the girls I've met and didn't bar-fined.

I lost my passport and spent the last couple of weeks getting a new one sorted

I lost my passport on a one week trip! (in Bangkok) Two trips to the embassy and one trip to Thai Immigration to get a new passport and exit card. Then I was checking in to my flight home, an airline employee came up to me at the counter with my lost passport!

Getting stabbed in the head by some LB's in Samui.

Got my room robbed in Bkk...thieving cunts nicked everything...

missed 3 flights...

1.check in staff in Samui were fucking around so had to go on standby for the next flight....managed to get a seat on the last flight of the day.

2.woke up one morning with a bargirl....asked her what day is it?...then realised I should have been at the airport the night before.

3.involved in a RTA on the way to the airport.

Not as crazy as others, on my first trip i got really bad strep throat and the king died so i couldnt enjoy anything. This happened on day 2 of my 10 day trip. I was an idiot and didn't go to the doctor till i got back to the states 9 days later. Haddent ate in 3 days because my throat was closed and had not drank water in about 24 hours. Almost died of dehydration on the flight. Luckily made it to a hospital as soon as i got out of the airport. Cured with some antibiotics about 10 days later. Permanently have damaged my throat though. Didnt stop me from coming back 3 years and 6 trips later i have hardened Vet.

You could have gone to a pharmacy in Thailand. My experience is that they speak very good english, and can diagnose you on the spot and give you the meds you need. In your case 500 mg Cipro.

Haha, I had to go all the way down to the cafe at the very end on the right hand side pass the large Indian restaurant. The cashier was trying to tell me customer only but I couldn’t hold it any longer. Barely made it. The cops at end also laugh at me on my way back because I had told them I had to take a shit when I went into the darkness looking to just shit in an alley. I now realize I think there is a paid restroom somewhere around the middle of WS

So many things, where to begin..

Getting violently ill, spewing from both ends, and attending a Thai hospital..

Meeting and falling in love with an incredible individual, only to have them unexpectedly pass from something 100% preventable..

The re-assessment of life values when you realize what a pound of pussy is actually worth - about $30 and change, American.

Leaving.  The flight home is a fucking bitch.

I also caught HSV1 somewhere along the line (oral, not genital herpes), though apparently the majority of people in the world have it.  Serves me right for kissing these girls, nevermind all the other horrendous places (and people) my tongue has penetrated.  Som nam na.

To paraphrase that most hated of bands, The Eagles, Pattaya could be heaven or it could be hell.  You can check out any time you like - but you can never leave.

The worst back pain,  I haven't had the issue  back home, it kept occurring for last 3 trips after about 5 to 6 days after hitting the ground. I couldn't stand, walk or f**ck without having alike of cutting knives in my lower back. Loads of pain killers from different pharmacies. I blamed it on the hotel beds. I asked for mattress change, room change and even moved to "better" hotel in my last trip while I still had a week prepaid . It didn't help. I couldn't take it , I thought that something about Thailand does not work for me . I rushed on the first plane to Jakarta. 2 days and the pain  didn't ease on me.

I went to the pharmacy next to where I was staying, few questions and answers and the big question come: if I was taking any ED drugs.

-I replied:" Apcalis" a generic of "Cialis", 20 ml tablet every 3 days.

- I believe you are among the 5% of men who Cialis don't work as intended for them, you might switch to a different drug.

That was the answer to my pain. I think I will go back to Kamagra !

When i tried, Apcalis gave me a really weird feeling in my asshole, I kid you not, kind of painful and just really weird. (And no, it was not from a ladyboy LOL) Then i checked the side effects and found out that it can cause anal hemorrhages... Back to kamagra it was. Never had any issue with that stuff even when I used it blind drunk it did it's job.

Worst thing that happen to me was the following:

I went to a beer bar complex a bit outside of central pattaya, there was also an open air gogo like bar close to that complex, with some girls dancing on poles. Me and a couple other board members were having a drink there, and shortly before we left, I barfined a pretty cute girl from there. Our plan was to go to Insomnia on ws to party and drink.

When we left the girl asked me if we should take a baht bus, or her bike (she had some kind of smallish motocross bike), I said lets take the bike. So we rode the bike to ws with me on the back. Went to Insomnia and partied and drunk. When Insomnia closed, we took the bike back to the condo I rented (view talay 6). Well, then we got stopped by the police.

They took us to a room and I remember there was another misserable looking farang sitting on the floor. He was really looking like shit. One of the cops was massive, like a bodybuilder, took steroids for sure.

The girl I was with had to blow to test the alcohol content and of course she had too much. Pretty shitty situation, as she could have gone to jail for that.

However she talked a bit to the cop and the she told me she needed money to give him. I only had 2k on me. Gave it to her and she asked for more, but I said I did not have more, then she asked if my friends had any money, I said no. Then she opened her bag and took out another 2 or 3 k from a secret pocket and litterally put it inside the pocket of the cop. Closed the pocket, patted it 2 times and then we left ON THE BIKE. We had a huge laugh when we got back to my condo and she even phoned her friends to tell the story and gave me the phone to describe what happened.

I was pretty drunk and the whole thing was quite funny to me. Neber felt unsave or something like that. However the next day when I realized that this could have gone pretty bad for her...

Also got some stuff stolen from my gf in thailand (cheapish camera, her gameboy) but it was not that bad. Just a loss of money.

Apart from that I was scammed into buying shit quality suits on my first day ever in thailand for 50k baht. But that was a long, long time ago...
