Booking a hotel for January.

Lads I'll be coming to Pattaya in January. Never ever been to Pattaya in january as all my trips are usually between June and October and I've never had a problem just booking my hotel a few days before I board my flight.

My january trip will be funded by a tax rebate as I've for some strange reason been getting emergency taxed all year but I've decided to leave it until the first week of December to sort out and I'll receive my tax refund on my wage in the 3rd week of December. My trip in January is from the 15th to the 31st. Will I have issues finding hotels just under 4 weeks in advance?

Also how 'High' actually is high season? I've always enjoyed my trips in July and August and even then it seems rather busy. How comparable is thy busyness of August to January?

Just to add. I MAY potentially hold off until 1st February if it's worth it and easier to book the hotel I want. Is February much quieter than January?

Going off Areca lodge their high season is 20th Dec to 15th Jan,  low season 1st March to 31st Oct and the rest mid season.

So basically after Jan 15th it begins to quieten down?

Went 1st March for a month certainly noticed as the month went by less people were around but late Jan/Feb must be a good time to go you will miss the loverly weather in the UK

Late Jan or early Feb works fine.  Slower and quieter but not crazy hot like fucking April.  It's a little cheaper and the selection is less but there are fewer customers so it all works out.
