Greetings Gents,

Heading to Pattaya for two months (September and October), in previous visits I joined the California Wow gym. Know that's no longer there and replaced by a new gym I believe.

Looking into the Bear Gym and also the Castra Gym - any advice for either regarding transportation from View Talay 2? Looks like both are quite a ways away. Im assuming I would need a motor taxi cause the baht buses don't head that way.

Thanks guys!

For Bear gym i would consider having your own transport. Can be a nice afternoon, work out then head over to Jomtien Sauna and relax

whats the deal with Jomtien Sauna? Prices and services please?

In the basement level of View Talay Residence 1, on Jomtien Second Road.  A 5 minute walk from VT2.  Good prices.  The equipment is ok, not great, but adequate for most purposes.   One weird aspect to the place is that the Swiss owner, and the thus the staff, are a bit obsessive about wiping down the machines.   I appreciate cleanliness in a gym,  but they can be annoying at times.

I believe entrance is still 150 baht. They have sauna, steam, swimming pool, cold dip pool. They serve complimentary water and fri=uit and have Thai food available. Not sure on massage prices and probably shouldn't expect extras.

Thanks for the replies Gents - ended up joining Fitness 7. Checked out the Tonys in Jomtien, probably the worst gym and eqp ive ever seen in a gym.
